H Sarna participated actively throughout the exercise and was recommended for their commitment during partnership assessment by providing the necessary requirements. The assessment was encouraging, and all major on sustainability are already established. The Action Aid Team was amazed with H Sarna's collaboration with other CBO's on ways to tackle GBV cases and the prompt response to any case and encouraged to do more to ensure sustainability of WVL-N Project in Kebbi State.

WVL-CBOS COALITION AGAINST GBV IN KEBBI STATE 4TH QUARTER, YEAR 4 MEETING.

The meeting held on the 2nd March 2023 was hosted by Mar'atussaliha Widows and Orphanage Initiative and was graced by the ED, NANA Girls and Women Empowerment Initiative Dr. Fatima L Adamu, convener of the coalition.

At this meeting, issues of significant importance on the operational capacity and sustainability of the coalition beyond the -N project duration were deliberated upon.

In her welcome remark, the Program Officer of Mar'atu, Hajiya Safiya M Mairiga express appreciations to ActionAid Nigeria and NANA, on behalf of the coalition for strengthening their organisations from scratch to becoming formal groups with structures for best practices through trainings and mentorship.

She then went on to readout the objectives of the meeting which include strategy for expanding the coalition to include other women rights organisations and civil society organisations in the state, finalizing the draft constitution of the coalition and strategic innovation for SLA's to adopt online transaction and banking system in order to cope with the CBN cashless policy and continue the economic empowerment program hitch free.

On this issue, Dr. Fatima informed participants that there is need to think and deliberate on the best approach for the future operations of the SLA's in rural communities, and on this three important suggestions were provided which include training and sensitising the SLA'S to understand workings of the cashless policy, registration with MTN on MOMO operations, opening simple accounts using phone numbers and possibility of acquiring POS for the SLA's to operate.

Moving forward, the draft constitution was tabled for review and amendments for subsequent approval by the coalition and after rigorous scrutiny of the document, a final draft was raised and unanimously approved by the participants, which was later described as a significant milestone towards the sustainability of the coalition.

Other issues discussed at the meeting were on the need for the CBOS to update their GBV directory as well as the financial and operational status of their SLAs which was facilitated by Khalid Abdullahi Sarki.
