When you are surrounded by people who challenge you, support you, mentor you, and celebrate your wins, work stops feeling like somewhere you have to be and starts feeling like somewhere you are meant to be.

That is the difference. That is LAPO.

Sustainable development means showing up and planning projects that have a lasting impact.

It looks like a community that now understands why regular medical checkups matter. A young entrepreneur who finally has the right support to build something that outlasts the help that got them started.

At LAPO, this is not a one-time intervention. It is a commitment we bring into every community we serve.

To every mother who stayed up late, pushed through the exhaustion, and kept going even when she was not sure she was doing enough. You are seen, and you are doing an incredible job.🤱🏾

This year's theme, "Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen What Works", says it all. When mothers are surrounded by the right support and the right information, everything changes; for them and for their babies.

At LAPO, our Maternal and Child Health programme exists because we believe every mother deserves that kind of support, not just during World Breastfeeding Week, but every single day.

World Breastfeeding Week may be ending, but our commitment to the mothers in our communities never does.

How many times have you heard this one? 🤱🏾

This is one of the most common myths that puts unnecessary pressure on new mothers.

This World Breastfeeding Week, the theme is: "Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen What Works" and that means making sure every mother has the right information and support around her.

Advice is good, but a strong support system is even better. That is what actually keeps a new mother going. 🤱🏾A mother c...

Advice is good, but a strong support system is even better. That is what actually keeps a new mother going. 🤱🏾

A mother can have all the medical information in the world, but if she is exhausted and carrying the weight alone, she will still struggle.

At LAPO, our MCH programme is designed to bridge this exact gap by making sure mothers in our communities have the right knowledge and the strong community backing they need.

The first gift a mother gives her baby costs nothing but it means everything 🤱🏾

Breast milk is not just food. It is an immunity boost and it helps the mother recover and build a bond with her baby.

No mother should go through this journey alone. Every mother deserves the right support, the right information, and a community that shows up for her.
