Day one highlights Inception and Planning Meeting on the Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership (RWVL) Project organized by FAWOYDI
Day One focused on the RWVL project overview and objectives, PAM findings, feminist leadership principles, shrinking donor landscape, thematic visioning, communication and visibility, grant announcement, and introduction to the logical framework.
The meeting provided a valuable platform for learning, collaboration, and strengthening partnerships towards sustainable community impact.

Day 1 Highlights | ASPIRE Project Onboarding Workshop

AWOYDI is delighted to be among the participating organisations in the 3-day onboarding workshop for the ASPIRE Project on advocating for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), organised by Plan International.

As a Women Rights Organisation (WRO), AWOYDI regards this opportunity as a significant step towards strengthening collective efforts in promoting gender transformation, inclusion, and sustainable community development.

We remain committed to advocating for the rights, wellbeing, and empowerment of women, girls, and vulnerable groups, while contributing meaningfully to positive social change in our society.

Day 1 of the workshop, held on 31st May 2026, provided valuable insights, learning opportunities, and collaboration among participating organisations towards advancing SRHR advocacy and community impact.

We appreciate Plan International and all partners for this impactful initiative and look forward to the days ahead.

🌿 Building Peace Through Dialogue and Understanding

In April 2026, the Farmer–Herder Coalition for Peace, Kaura carried out a vital sensitisation campaign across the communities of Kaura, Bungen, and Mallagum.

The engagement focused on meeting with young herders, with the aim of mitigating crop destruction and strengthening peaceful coexistence between farmers and herders.

🤝 By bringing both groups together, the activity created a platform for dialogue, mutual understanding, and shared responsibility.

This initiative reflects a growing sense of community ownership and signals a strong revival of unity and peace within these communities.

🌱 When communities come together, peace becomes possible—and sustainable.

Community Impact in Action – Majuju Takes the Lead!
The community of Majuju has taken a bold and inspiring step towards self-reliance and development.

With funds generated from the milling engines provided by the Azurfa Women and Youth Development Initiative under the Nigeria Spring programme a UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office funded initiative, implemented by Tetra Tech, the community has successfully begun its first project — the repair of three boreholes.

💧 These boreholes had long been a major challenge, affecting access to clean water in several parts of the community. Today, that story is changing.

This milestone is more than just a repair project — it is a powerful example of sustainability, community ownership, and the lasting impact of empowerment initiatives.

👏 We celebrate the people of Majuju for turning opportunity into action and creating real change.
