📢 Strengthening Child Protection and Ending Violence in Bauchi State

Today, CHILD is GOLD Foundation. participated in a One-Day Technical Support Workshop on the Development of an Implementation Framework for Strengthening the Child Protection Law and the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) (VAPP) Law in Bauchi State, organized by ImiGan Hope Empowerment Initiative at Pali Suites and Resorts, Bauchi.

The workshop brought together stakeholders from government ministries, civil society organizations, development partners, law enforcement agencies, and community representatives to develop practical strategies for the effective implementation of the Child Protection and VAPP Laws.

Discussions focused on identifying implementation gaps, strengthening stakeholder collaboration, improving referral and response mechanisms, enhancing community awareness, and promoting accountability in the enforcement of the laws.

The engagement provided a valuable platform for collective action and reaffirmed the commitment of all stakeholders to protecting children and vulnerable persons from violence, abuse, and exploitation.

Today, the CHILD is GOLD Foundation. officially celebrated its 8th anniversary milestone! We gathered with our incredible partners, board members, and team at the CIGF office to look back on nearly a decade of driving community impact, strengthening health systems, and changing lives.

Our journey has only been possible because of the unwavering support of our community and dedicated partners.

Today, we proudly celebrate 8 remarkable years of CHILD is GOLD Foundation. eight years of service, advocacy, empowerment, and unwavering commitment to building stronger communities and creating opportunities for women, children, and vulnerable populations.

What began as a vision to protect, empower, and uplift has grown into a movement that has touched countless lives through education, child protection, gender equality advocacy, health interventions, humanitarian support, climate action, peacebuilding, and community development.

Child Is Gold Foundation is grateful to be with WaterAid Nigeria and other Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in a collective effort to eradicate open defecation and improve community hygiene.

WaterAid in furtherance of her Project titled: Accelerating Inclusive Sanitation Economy in Nigeria (AISE) 🇳🇬 is working assiduously to ensure that the integrity and sustainability of Open Defecation Free (ODF) claims of communities are ascertained.

This training equips over 60 members of the Local Task Group on Sanitation (LTGS) with the rigorous skills and tools necessary to conduct thorough field verifications.

These teams will soon be deployed across communities in Jama’are, Misau, and Tafawa Balewa LGAs to validate their ODF status.

We remain committed to strengthening local structures for a cleaner, healthier, and more inclusive Nigeria.

🌱 Commemorating World Environment Day 2026 🌍

CHILD is GOLD Foundation. was honored to participate in a tree-planting campaign at Bakari Duku Secondary School, Bauchi, organized by the Center for Earth Work (CFEW) in commemoration of World Environment Day 2026.

As part of the exercise, students were educated on the importance of tree planting in promoting environmental sustainability, improving air quality, combating climate change, and preserving biodiversity. The session also highlighted the harmful effects of deforestation and the urgent need for collective action to protect our environment for future generations.

By empowering young people with environmental knowledge and encouraging practical actions such as tree planting, we are helping to nurture a generation that values and protects Mother Earth.

Together, we can create a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.
