In our quest for a clean and sustainable environment, the SELL team in Yola took the initiative to create awareness among students of LCCN Academy to commemorate the world Toilet Day.

The team clean both the toilets and school environment as part of their efforts in contributing to keeping a clean environment.

The school management expressed their appreciation for the effort, and were happy with the initiative taken by the Yola SELL team.

As regard to the previous visit to St. Mary’s Federal Low-Cost School in Maiduguri early this Year where the team proposed establishing a garden to plant, nurture, and monitor seedlings for long-term environmental impact.

On the 15th November 2025, the team conducted a follow-up visit to the garden to assess its progress and carry out routine maintenance activities. During the visit, the team inspected the young economic trees they planted earlier ensuring they received the necessary care and attention to support healthy growth.

According to the team, the project continues to be an encouraging step toward environmental restoration within their community. They remain committed to nurturing the seedlings to distribute them across the neighborhood.

Hoping to contribute to a greener, safer environment and support a more sustainable ecosystem for future generations.

On the 14th November, 2025 the SELL team in Pankshin, Local Government of Plateau State conducted a workshop for the students of Government Secondary School Tongfom Mile 8, Pankshin LGA Plateau State.

The workshop was on Child safeguarding and protection, where they made the students understand what safeguarding entails, forms of abuse and channels for reporting any form of abuse to the appropriate authority.

The workshop was facilitated by: Nentawe Godit, Paulinus Kidanka, Kassem Benedict John, Vincent Fwentong, Nanman Lekyil, Bala Garba, Manji Kwarsam, Amos Kassem and Kennedy Gomos.

Yola SELL team in collaboration with Jalingo team conducted a two days workshop for the students of Hope for Women vocational training center, Jalingo, Taraba State.

The workshop which took place from the 20th -21st October, 2025 aimed at empowering the students with skills on modern methods of agriculture and production of briquettes as alternative cooking methods.

The management and students of the school applauded the facilitators for a job well done and also assured the facilitators that they will be doing mass production of compost manure and will set up a smart shop where they will br showcasing the knowledge acquired.

Success story: Celebrating the Fruits of Climate Smart Agriculture in Nabordo Community!

SELL Foundation is delighted to celebrate the success story of Mr. Thomas Zakariah, a participant from Nabordo Community, Bauchi State, who has recorded remarkable harvests in his rice farm this year following his participation in our Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) training.

Through the use of compost manure and eco-friendly farming techniques learned during the training, Mr. Zakariah experienced impressive crop growth and yield. This is one among many other living proofs that climate-smart practices truly enhance productivity while protecting the environment.
