The Resilient and Inclusive Agrifood Systems Empowering Women and Youth in Nigeria (RISE) Project is a five-year initiative (2025 – 2030) funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and implemented by a consortium of partners with rich experience working in the project locations. The project seeks to transform agri-food systems in Bauchi, Kaduna, and Kano States by promoting inclusive climate-resilient and market-driven growth across four priority value chains: rice, maize, groundnuts, and soybean. The program is strategically designed to address systemic barriers that limit the participation and productivity of women and youth in agriculture. RISE will directly support 12,500 smallholder farmers- 250 cooperatives, and 450 MSMEs, create or sustain 8,000 decent jobs, and generate broad-based community impact through improved incomes, productivity, and resilience.

We successfully concluded a 2-day onboarding workshop for the Women in Business Forum (WiBFo) staff, and it was an impactful start to the journey ahead.

The sessions focused on familiarizing staff with our organizational policies, work ethics, operational processes, and our collective role in the implementation of the RISE Project. It was a valuable time of learning, alignment, and shared understanding of our vision, values, and expectations.

We are excited about the energy, commitment, and passion the team brings, and we look forward to translating these discussions into meaningful action and results for the women and communities we serve.

Job Opportunity: Program Manager

The Women in Business Forum (WiBFo) is recruiting a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to lead the Resilient and Inclusive Agri-Food Systems Empowering Women and Youth (RISE) Project.

The Program Manager will provide overall leadership in planning, implementing, and monitoring project activities, ensuring alignment with project goals, donor requirements, and WiBFo’s mission of empowering women and fostering inclusive economic growth.

Key focus areas will include strategic program oversight, team management, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and ensuring sustainability of project outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum of HND / B.Sc. in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Agriculture, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or any related field.

Minimum of 3 years proven experience in project management, team leadership, and working with women/youth-focused programs.
