Softie.

When I think of the word before now I have never associated it with myself cos what????

I honestly used to believe I was hard cos of how focused and serious I can be but the truth is that I am a softie inside of me.

My late father saw this and he used to treat me like that despite being the eldest. He was one person I could cry to and he would listen and never speak harshly to me no matter what, I was his baby and I knew this.

He died when I was 16 and this made me toughen up and find a space to care for myself but deep down this little girl is still a softie.

It's important that we grow in self awareness and learn to think more deeply and reflect more on our actions. The best time to start becoming more self aware is as a child/teen.

I turn 40 in February and my awareness of self has improved greatly over time but I wish someone had taught me this early enough. To this end I will be taking girls on a self awareness heart tour on the 12th of February at 6am.

Get your girls to join just before they head out to school. It's going to be a heart to heart they would remember forever and they would love it.

3rd of December every year is international day for persons with disabilities and I have joined Napvid, Melody Omosah Solomon Ajayi and the entire disability community in Edo State every year for the past 13 years to celebrate.

It was an honour again to anchor alongside the mighty Mazi Bugie Okhuemoi at the 13th edition of the NAPVID Annual Rights Above Charity Lecture. It's so amazing that we Co-Achored the very 1st one in 2011. Wow! Such Growth!

I personally invited members of the Charity CDS of NYSC made up of young people passionate about positive works that affect their society. Young focused and passionate people excite me 💃

Teach the young about giving back and not just taking. A society that only takes never grows because growth can only happen when seeds are sown.

This is the stuff dreams are made of.

Okhomina
Aunty Temi aka Dcns. Temitope Okhomina is one person you want in your corner. This beautiful friend of mine is not one of those people you follow up Oh! She is one to always offer herself and while you are trying to explain what you need from her; her response is “thank you for the privilege” all the time. What?! She has the sweetest countenance and is someone that is likable, you know how you meet someone and you don’t really know them much yet but you just like them, that is Temitope for you, if you meet her today, you would like her! She is very resourceful and spiritual; she is that one person that while you are secretly asking God to provide a resource will call to ask if you need help. Imagine me just planning for an event and she will volunteer help without me asking and will deliver excellently well and will still sow a seed towards the success of the programme.
The first Bootcamp we held in 2022, Aunty Temitope got people I don’t know, who do not know me and who I may never get to meet in this life to send money into our account to support and I was amazed but now I see why those people responded, I believe it’s because she must have shown some part of her extraordinary self to them.
I celebrate God for the gift of you ma. You are a blessing and I appreciate you wholeheartedly.
God bless you for me.

Only the deep calleth unto the deep.

What would keep your children on the right path is not the number of strokes of the cane you flogged or the extent of the sharpness of your tongue in correcting them but a personal relationship with the creator and a decision to walk right that can only be made by them

However, you can expose to the right values by modeling what you want to see in them.

if you lack depth, you cannot transfer depth.

Delve into depth and maintain a deep understanding of who you are and by words and action see a transfer happen between you and your children.
