Transformation begins with opportunity, empowerment, and access to the right skills.

Genius Hub is proud to be implementing and facilitating the GIZ ZME-funded vocational and empowerment training program at the Benin City Center, designed to equip young people and returning migrants with practical, income-generating skills for sustainable growth and economic independence.

The training programs currently underway include:
• Hair Barbing Training
• Hair Dressing & Wig Making
• Pastries & Finger Food Training
• Curtain, Duvet & Bedspread Training
This initiative is targeted at individuals between the ages of 18–35yrs, including returned migrants, youths, skilled professionals seeking advancement, and under-skilled individuals looking to build sustainable careers and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Day 1 commenced successfully yesterday, with an engaging orientation and life skills development session facilitated by Adesua Amadi-Emina, the GMD of Genius Hub, Isimeme Whyte and CEO, Mrs. Obehi Okpaibhele , who introduced participants to the vision, expectations, opportunities, and transformational possibilities embedded within the training program.

Beyond technical skills acquisition, participants are also being equipped with critical life skills, workplace readiness, entrepreneurial thinking, communication techniques, and personal development strategies necessary for long-term success in today’s evolving economy.

At Genius Hub, we remain committed to building empowered communities, reducing unemployment, supporting youth inclusion, and creating pathways for economic sustainability through innovation, education, and practical capacity development.

This is more than a training program.

Beyond inspiration, the Omniverse Career Centre delivered practical business knowledge that equips entrepreneurs and MSMEs for sustainable growth.

One of the major highlights was the Formalization Workshop & MSME Clinic facilitated by Mrs. Sadiya Sheik Abdullahi, an expert in capacity building and development from , partners with GIZ SEDIN .

The workshop addressed critical areas many small businesses often overlook:
• Legal compliance for digital businesses
• Tax regulations and cross-border trade policies
• Business sustainability frameworks
• Investor readiness and credibility building
• Cybersecurity awareness
• Consumer rights protection
• Data privacy and fraud prevention

Participants gained practical insights into how compliance and structure can unlock funding opportunities, improve credibility, and position businesses for scalability in today’s digital economy.

This session reinforced an important message:
Innovation without structure limits growth.
Compliance and formalization are not barriers — they are growth enablers.

The Omniverse Career Centre 3.0 is returning with more hands-on clinics, practical workshops, strategic mentorship sessions, and real-world solutions designed to help African businesses thrive sustainably.

The ecosystem is evolving — and African entrepreneurs must evolve with it.

Nigeria’s future cannot be discussed without agriculture.
But agriculture without skill limits growth.
That understanding shaped our work in Abeokuta.

For years Genius Hub has invested heavily in agricultural skill systems as part of its broader practical education ecosystem.
From poultry systems to agribusiness operations, our agricultural footprint continues growing. Genius Hub implemented the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Skills development programme, under the Federal Ministry of Education, Nigeria across 7 states.

And Abeokuta became one strong agricultural training hub.
With 150 trainees, Abeokuta recorded the highest participation across all our training centres.

Training focused on:
🐝 Beekeeping
🐄 Animal Husbandry
🐓 Poultry Farming

Participants learned:
• Hive management systems
• Honey production
• Poultry management systems
• Livestock care
• Farm operational systems
• Production systems
• Agricultural business development

This wasn’t classroom agriculture.
It was practical agriculture.
Real systems.
Real production.
Real enterprise development.

Every participant completed:
Orientation
Hands-on training
Assessment
Certification
Starter pack support

150 trained.
150 agricultural entrepreneurs positioned.

Across our years of operation, Genius Hub has trained over 35,000 Nigerians, with agriculture remaining one of our strong vocational pillars.

And through strategic partnerships across institutions and enterprise ecosystems, we continue expanding in line with Sustainable Development Goal 17.

Because food security and economic security begin with skill.
Abeokuta proved that.

At Genius Hub , we believe that empowering young people goes beyond training — it requires creating direct pathways to opportunity, employability, and sustainable growth.

Recently, our team participated in the NYSC Job Advisory and Counselling (JAC) Programme held at the NYSC Oredo Zonal Office, Ikpokpan Road, Benin City, where we engaged corps members on one of the most important conversations shaping Nigeria’s future:
How young people can transition successfully from education into the workforce.

As part of our contribution to the programme, we officially introduced corps members to BETAAWORK — our innovative digital platform developed to bridge the gap between skills and opportunities.

Through live onboarding sessions, guided demonstrations, and direct interaction with participants, corps members gained immediate access to the BETAAWORK App using a simple scan code system. They were also taken through practical steps on how to maximize the platform for:
• Job access
• Career development
• Skill opportunities
• Employability enhancement
• Workforce readiness
• Long-term professional growth

The engagement aligned strongly with the broader objectives of the NYSC JAC Programme, which brought together notable stakeholders including the Zonal Inspector, Programme Coordination Team, Head of ICT, Head of SAED, Deputy Director (South-South Region), alongside representatives from Edo Jobs and UNDP.

For us at Genius Hub, the focus remains clear:
Young people deserve access to platforms, systems, and ecosystems that make opportunities easier to find and easier to access.

BETAAWORK represents one of the many ways Genius Hub continues to build solutions that drive innovation, youth empowerment, digital inclusion, and workforce transformation across Nigeria.

This is only the beginning.

Lagos moves fast.
Technology moves even faster.

And behind every functioning laptop, every repaired smartphone, and every serviced device is a skilled professional.

That’s the opportunity Genius Hub continues to build.

For years, Genius Hub has empowered over 35,000 participants with practical skills across film production, technology systems, social media communication, beauty, agriculture, and entrepreneurship. That legacy continues with Genius Hub implementing the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Skills development programme, under the Federal Ministry of Education across 7 states.

In Lagos, our focus sharpened around technical repair systems.

At our Lagos training centre, 101 participants completed structured vocational training in:
💻 Computer Hardware Maintenance
📱 Mobile Phone Repair

The goal was clear:
To build practical digital repair professionals.

Training covered:
• System diagnosis
• Hardware troubleshooting
• Device servicing
• Component replacement
• Motherboard systems
• Technical maintenance
• Customer support systems

For six months, trainees moved through practical exercises, supervised learning, live demonstrations, and real-market simulation.

And the results are measurable:
101 trained
101 certified
101 starter packs distributed
101 new technical careers created

In a digital economy, repair is infrastructure.

And technical skill is economic leverage.

Through our partnership ecosystem—working with institutions across public and private sectors—Genius Hub continues to expand its reach in line with Sustainable Development Goal 17.

Because scaling impact requires collaboration.
Lagos reflects that vision.
And we continue building.

Day 3 of the Omniverse Africa Career Centre focused on one of the most important conversations shaping Africa’s future:
Collaboration and strengthening Africa’s digital economy.

As digital ecosystems continue to expand globally, industry leaders and ecosystem stakeholders gathered to discuss how African businesses can leverage digital trade protocols, fintech innovation, public-private partnerships, and digital skills development to build resilient economies.

The session opened with reflections from previous conversations around:
• Career innovation
• Gender-inclusive opportunities
• Entrepreneurship support systems
• Global job access pathways

This laid the foundation for deeper conversations around sustainability, compliance, technology adoption, and economic competitiveness.

The conversations reinforced a powerful reality:

Career Centre 3.0 is coming with even more conversations, deeper ecosystem engagement, bigger collaborations, and expanded opportunities for young Africans ready to thrive in the digital era.

Long before conversations around skills development became mainstream, Genius Hub had already built a reputation for transforming raw talent into practical economic power.

For years, we have trained over 35,000 Nigerians across diverse Technical and Vocational sectors including fashion, beauty, filmmaking, agriculture, digital communication, hospitality, and technology.

That legacy continues with Genius Hub implementing the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Skills development programme, under the Federal Ministry of Education across 7 states.

At our Edo training institute, 108 trainees completed an intensive six-month practical vocational programme focused on two industries that continue to shape both local and national economies:
✂ Fashion Design & Garment Making
🏨 Hospitality Management

But this wasn’t just about teaching skills.
It was about building systems of economic survival.

Participants were trained in:
• Pattern drafting and garment construction
• Fabric handling and finishing
• Clothing production systems
• Customer experience management
• Food operations and hospitality systems
• Service excellence
• Business management readiness

Every learner moved through a full structured training cycle:
Orientation and induction
Practical hands-on learning
Competency-based assessment
Certification
Starter pack empowerment

Edo recorded 108 trainees, making it one of our strongest-performing training centres.
And that number matters.
Because every number represents a business waiting to happen.
A designer.
A fashion entrepreneur.
A chef.
A hospitality manager.
This is how skills become income.

And through strategic collaborations with institutions, industries, and development partners, Genius Hub continues advancing Sustainable Development Goal 17 — because partnerships remain the strongest infrastructure for sustainable impact.

Edo is part of a bigger story.
A story of practical education.
A story of economic empowerment.
A story of national transformation.
108 lives equipped.
108 futures unlocked.
