Four weeks. Two facilitators. Two digital skills. And a remarkable transformation.
At Advantage 3.0 Future Ready Boot Camp, both our Graphic Design and Web Development facilitators faced the same challenge: students who had little to no experience using a computer, navigating a keyboard, or working with digital tools.
But they didn’t let that become a limitation.
Osamudiamen Kelvin, our Graphic Design Facilitator, took the students from having little to no knowledge of graphic design to confidently creating their own designs. His sessions were filled with practical exercises, interaction, creativity, and lots of fun, turning every class into both a learning experience and an opportunity for the students to discover their creative abilities.
And then came Jerry Owie, our Web Development Facilitator, taking on what is often considered one of the more challenging digital skills for beginners.
We remember the first class, the confusion, the uncertainty, and the “Where do I even start?” expressions on their faces. But week after week, something changed.
They began to understand.
They began to practice.
They began to create.
By the third week, students were already building landing pages with zero prior coding knowledge. And by the final week, they were no longer simply trying to understand what they were being taught, they were actually creating.
That is the transformation we celebrate.
Not just the graphics they designed.
Not just the landing pages they built.
But the confidence that came from discovering, “I can do this.”
To Kelvin Osamudiamen and Jerry Owie, thank you for your patience, expertise, creativity, and commitment to meeting our students exactly where they were and taking them further.
This is what happens when young people are given access, guidance, and the opportunity to learn.
