Today we celebrate the incredible women everywhere — leaders, innovators, caregivers, and changemakers who inspire with strength, purpose, and impact.

Women continue to shape our communities and the world through their dedication, creativity, resilience, and passion for positive change.

Let us honor their achievements, uplift their voices, and recognize the unique contributions women make to society every single day.

Another successful cycle of empowering young humanitarians!

As a way of contributing knowledge and expertise back to the society, had the privilege of hosting 10 interns from the social work department, . Our interns completed eight impactful training weeks, gaining practical skills in advocacy, protection, reintegration support, and community engagement.

It was also truly heartwarming to receive positive feedback from the interns on the impact of our work on them.

The future of humanitarian work is bright!

Edo State remains a hub of human trafficking and irregular migration in Nigeria. Young Nigerians who are hopeful for a better life abroad often fall victim. They embark on perilous journeys marked by deception and exploitation often enduring the treacherous desert and Mediterranean sea to reach Europe.

The World Day Against Trafficking in Persons is marked on 30th July every year.
This year 2025, the Advocacy for Inclusion and Support Initiative (ADIS), with support from and , hosted a two-day capacity-building workshop within a 10-day programme to train and empower a new wave of changemakers-Ambassadors of Hope using digital skills

Our young passionate Ambassadors of Hope, drawn from survivors of human trafficking and students of the University of Benin, Social Work Department and the Benson Idahosa University, International Studies and Diplomacy are part of the campaign aimed at amplifying the voices of survivors, challenging stigma and leading conversations that promote action against human trafficking within their communities.

Together, we raise our voices. 🌍 Together, we stand for dignity. 🤝 Together, we can stop human trafficking.

I am happy to share with you this award presented to me by the Conference of Non Governmental Organizations in Edo State ( )The award ceremony was held at the December 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Conference. Unfortunately due to my other engagements outside the state at the time, I wasnt able to attend. On 4th February, at the first general meeting of the conference for the year 2025, I had the opportunity to personally receive this Award of Meritorious Service to Humanity. I’m particularly excited that it is coming from the largest confederation of NGOs in the State where I have dedicated nearly 25years of service to humanity.
I dedicate this particular award to my dedicated and ever dependable team and colleagues for their unwavering support over the years in our collective quest to empower vulnerable persons in Nigeria and beyond.
Thank you to CONGOS Nigeria
