A friend of GPI has retired but not tired. Thank you Beatrice. Your legacy is not only valued by AWDF but is appreciated by the GPI team. Love from GPI.

We are honoured to announce the retirement of Beatrice Boakye-Yiadom, our Programmes Manager, Resourcing Movements 💜

For nearly 20 years, Beatrice has been an extraordinary presence at AWDF, resourcing and accompanying organisations driving gender justice and feminist movements across the African continent. Her work has been defined by deep expertise, genuine care for partners, and a commitment to the values that sit at the heart of AWDF’s mission.

As she steps into this well-deserved new chapter, we will miss her ever-kind and bubbly energy that has always lifted our meeting rooms and the AWDF walls. We are deeply grateful for everything she has poured into this work and will carry forward the depth of the strong foundations she helped build.

We wish Beatrice the very best and look forward to celebrating new passions and interests she will be pursuing.

Here is to joyful rest, new adventures, and all beautiful things ahead 🥂
