Q few days ago, we profiled a vulnerable pregnant woman who became pregnant as a result of r**e. She was referred to us for support, care, and assistance during this difficult time.

We have been informed that some assistance may be available towards her delivery, but she still urgently needs basic items, food supplies, and financial support to help her survive daily.

Already, she is seven and a half months pregnant, and her expected delivery date is early July. We kindly seek for your support.

We are therefore appealing to kind-hearted individuals, groups, and organizations to support her either in-cash or in-kind. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference.

Together, we can restore hope, dignity, and humanity to someone going through pain and uncertainty. Your support can help give both mother and child a safer tomorrow.

Abuse is not love, correction, or anger gone too far. Abuse is a deliberate pattern of control designed to silence, intimidate, manipulate, and weaken another person emotionally, mentally, physically, or financially.

Many people stay trapped because society keeps calling abuse a “relationship problem” instead of what it truly is — control disguised as love. Love should never leave someone living in fear, confusion, or pain.

Healthy relationships are built on respect, trust, communication, and safety. The moment control becomes the foundation, the relationship stops being healthy and starts becoming harmful.

We must stop normalizing toxic behavior and start protecting victims with empathy, awareness, and accountability. Abuse is abuse, and nobody deserves to suffer in silence. 💜

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu at the Rotary International District 9141 Conference in Benin City, delivered a powerful message on the connection between security, service, and community development. He described police officers and Rotarians as partners with a shared mission of protecting lives, uplifting communities, and building a better society through sacrifice and service above self.

The IGP stressed that sustainable security cannot be achieved through force alone but through trust, collaboration, and strong community relationships. He noted that communities which feel seen, supported, and empowered are less vulnerable to crime, violence, and social unrest. According to him, Rotary’s humanitarian efforts in education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and peacebuilding are also critical contributions to national security.

He called for deliberate partnerships between Rotary clubs and local police divisions across District 9141. He encouraged joint initiatives such as youth mentorship programmes, community dialogues, public safety campaigns, and crime prevention projects that can strengthen trust between citizens and law enforcement.

The speech also highlighted the inseparable link between security and development, emphasizing that no meaningful growth can thrive in an atmosphere of fear and insecurity. He praised Rotary for promoting peace, dignity, and opportunity in communities.

In closing, the IGP urged Nigerians to see policing and public safety as a shared responsibility, reaffirming his commitment to building safer communities through partnership, trust, and service.

There is a different kind of joy that comes from serving humanity, a joy money cannot buy and fame cannot replace. When we choose kindness, compassion, and selfless service, we become light in someone’s darkest moment. Every helping hand leaves a lasting impact.

Service to humanity is not always about grand gestures. Sometimes, it is the small acts like checking on someone, feeding the hungry, encouraging the hopeless, or standing for justice that change lives forever. Humanity grows stronger when love leads our actions.
In a world filled with struggles, those who serve others become symbols of hope. The reward may not always come immediately, but kindness has a way of returning in beautiful and unexpected ways.

True greatness is not measured by wealth or status, but by the number of lives touched positively. When we serve people genuinely, we inspire healing, unity, and transformation.
Keep serving. Keep loving. Keep uplifting humanity. The reward is priceless. ❤️

The Lagos State High Court has concluded the hearing in the trial of Chidinma Ojukwu, the alleged principal suspect in the death of Super TV CEO, Usifo Ataga. With the close of oral proceedings, the matter has now moved into the final written address stage, marking a critical step toward judgment in the long-running case.

The court has ordered all parties to file their final written addresses within 21 days, after which each side will have an additional 7 days to reply to the opposing submissions. The case has been adjourned to September 24 for the formal adoption of these written arguments by counsel representing both the prosecution and the defence.

Following adoption, the presiding judge will fix a date for judgment. Under Nigerian law, the court has up to 90 days to deliver its verdict after final adoption, meaning judgment is expected within that timeframe, potentially before the end of 2026. Ignorance of the law remains no excuse.

Violence against children is a global crisis that cuts across borders, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds. It threatens the dignity, safety, and future of millions of children worldwide. From physical abuse to emotional neglect and exploitation, no child should be subjected to such harm in any form or environment today. It demands urgent global action.

Every day, children suffer silently in homes, schools, and communities where protection systems are weak or ignored. The impact of violence leaves deep scars on mental health, education, and development. A traumatized child struggles to thrive, and society ultimately bears the cost of this preventable injustice and broken future.

Ending violence against children requires collective responsibility from governments, parents, educators, religious institutions, and communities. Strong child protection laws must be enforced, while awareness campaigns promote safe reporting channels. We must also prioritize positive parenting, safe schools, and supportive environments where every child can grow without fear or intimidation.

Individuals play a crucial role by speaking out against abuse and reporting suspected cases to appropriate authorities. Silence only enables the cycle of violence to continue. Communities must foster vigilance and compassion, ensuring that no child suffers in isolation. Protecting children is a shared moral and social duty always now.

Let us unite to build a world where every child is safe, valued, and protected. Say no to all forms of violence against children and commit to creating a safer future for the next generation. Together, we can break the silence and end this global crisis today for humanity now.
