Thursday 16th July 2026 marked a significant milestone at MiND Initiative as our Executive Director, Mr. Peter O. Aguebor, officially resumed office after a five-month leave of absence.
During a strategic resumption meeting with staff and volunteers, he expressed appreciation for the dedication and resilience of the team, while specially recognizing Mrs. Wonderful Osatemple, who served as Acting Executive Director, for providing exemplary leadership and ensuring the successful continuity of the organization's programmes and operations.
The meeting reflected on key achievements recorded during the period, including the sustained success of the Know Your Commissioners (KYC) and The Citizens' MiND initiatives, as well as notable progress in advancing the Gender Composition Bill through the Advocacy Foundation Initiative, where MiND Initiative serves as a cluster member in Edo State.
The day became even more memorable with the courtesy visit of the Vice Chairman-elect of Egor Local Government Area, Hon. Kenny Imawagheru Isokpan, whose testimony highlighted the impact of MiND Initiative's civic education efforts. He shared that participating in one of our town hall meetings on Promoting Youth Political Participation in Edo State inspired him to actively engage in the political process and ultimately contest for public office.
As MiND Initiative begins this new phase, the organization remains committed to strengthening democratic governance, promoting active citizenship, advancing inclusive policies, and creating more opportunities for meaningful civic engagement across communities.
