PART SIX.

TOPIC: TATTOOS IS NOT A SIN.

MINISTERING: NKASI IGNATIUS BONIFACE.

PRACTICAL AND PERSONAL.

1. Examples of God-honoring tattoo ideas.

2. If someone chooses to get a tattoo and wants it to reflect faith, these are common meaningful options:

SCRIPTURES

Isaiah 49:16 — “I have engraved you on the palms of my hands”
Philippians 4:13 — “I can do all things through Christ…”

Psalm 23:1 — “The Lord is my shepherd”

These remind you daily of God’s promises.

SYMBOLS WITH MEANING:

Cross → sacrifice and
salvation

Dove → the Holy Spirit and peace

Lion → strength (often linked to Christ)

Crown → victory and eternal life.

Words or short phrases

“Faith”

“Grace”

“Redeemed”

“God is able”

Simple but powerful reminders of your walk with God.

2. What to AVOID (very important)
some things are clearly not wise spiritually:

Symbols linked to the occult or dark powers.

Anything that promotes violence, immorality, or rebellion.

Names or things you may later regret deeply

Trends you’re not truly convicted about.

3. A simple test before you decide.

Before getting any tattoo, ask yourself:
Can I pray about this and feel peace?

Will I be proud to show this in a church setting?

Does this reflect who I am in Christ?

4. Final truth to hold on to
Whether you get a tattoo or not:

Your identity is not in ink—it’s in your relationship with God.

What matters most is that your life reflects Christ, not just your body.

17/04/2026

PART FIVE.

TOPIC: TATTOOS IS NOT A SIN.

MINISTERING: NKASI IGNATIUS BONIFACE.

PRACTICAL AND SPIRITUAL WAY SO YOU CAN DECIDE WISELY FOR YOURSELF.

1. Markings God actually used in the Bible.

Interestingly, the Bible doesn’t only speak negatively about markings—it also shows God using marks symbolically.

A mark for protection

In Ezekiel 9:4, God marked people on their foreheads to separate and protect them from judgment ( this kind of tattoos or mark is faith based Mark and it's not a sin, but a righteous thing to do ).

A sign of ownership

In Revelation 7:3, God seals His servants—showing they belong to Him.

A contrasting mark.

In Revelation 13:16, there’s the “mark of the beast,” which represents loyalty to something opposed to God ( This kind of tattoos or mark is a sin because it was a command from the devil ).

THE KEY IDEA:

Marks in Scripture often represent identity,

loyalty, and ownership—not just decoration.

2. How to decide if YOU should get a tattoo

Instead of just asking “Is it a sin?”,

ask these deeper questions:

Check your motive.

Am I doing this to honor God or just follow trends?

Is it coming from conviction or pressure?

Check the message

What does the tattoo mean spiritually?

If someone sees it, what does it communicate?

Check your future

Will I still be okay with this in 6 –12 years?

Does it align with the person I’m becoming?

Check your conscience

Do I feel peace about it, or hesitation?

This connects with Romans 14:23:
“Whatever is not from faith is sin.” ( But whatever is from faith is righteousness). So a tattoos design from faith, with faith, and by faith is righteousness.

If you feel uneasy inside, that matters.

3. A deeper spiritual truth

God is more focused on what is written on your heart than your skin.

Hebrews 10:16 — God says He writes His laws in our hearts

1 Samuel 16:7 — God looks at the heart, not outward appearance

So even without a tattoo, a person can belong fully to God.

And even with a tattoo, what matters most is still the state of the heart.

4. SIMPLE GUIDANCE

A tattoo is not automatically evil.
But it becomes spiritually meaningful depending on:

Your intention

Its message

Your relationship with God.

17/04/2026

PART FOUR.

TOPIC: TATTOO IS NOT A SIN.

MINISTERING: NKASI IGNATIUS BONIFACE.

1. Are tattoos a sin in Christianity?

The main verse people refer to is Leviticus 19:28:
“You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you…”

But context matters.

That command was given to the Israelites to separate them from pagan practices—people at that time were marking their bodies for the dead or for idol worship.

So Christians today usually fall into two main views:

VIEW 1:

Tattoos are wrong.

They believe the command still applies today.

They also use

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit)
So they feel the body should not be marked permanently.

VIEW 2:

Tattoos are not necessarily a sin
They believe Old Testament ceremonial laws don’t bind Christians today

They focus more on the heart and intention, not just the outward act.

A tattoo that glorifies God (e.g., a scripture) is seen differently from one tied to sin

2. Spiritual principle behind it.

Christianity looks beyond just the action and asks:

Why are you doing it?

What does it represent?

Does it glorify God or

something else?

For example:

A tattoo linked to rebellion, occult, or immorality → spiritually questionable ( This kind of tattoos is a sin because it was done in the name of satan).

A tattoo with a positive or faith-based meaning → often seen as acceptable by many believers ( this kind of tattoos is not a sin because it was done in the name of God without consulting or worshipping idols) for example a man wake up one morning and decided to go to a tattoos store to design his body with tattoos has not sin and such tattoos glorify God.

3. Balance and wisdom

The New Testament doesn’t directly command “do not tattoo,” but it gives guiding principles like:

1 Corinthians 10:23 — “All things are lawful… but not all things are beneficial.”

Colossians 3:17 — “Do everything in the name of the Lord.” ( The word everything means all things including tattooing your body, so tattooed your body in the name of the Lord and that is acceptable by God ).

So the real question becomes:

Will this honor God?

Will I still be comfortable with this for life?

4. CONCLUSION

A tattoo is not automatically a sin, but:
It depends on your motive, meaning, and conviction.

It should be approached with wisdom and spiritual sensitivity.

PART THREE

TOPIC: TATTOOS IS NOT A SIN

MINISTERING: NKASI IGNATIUS BONIFACE

Book of Leviticus 19:28
“You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.”

This is the clearest and only explicit command about tattoos in the Old Testament.

Related passages (not tattoos directly, but similar practices)

These verses give context about cutting the body, markings, or pagan rituals, which help explain Leviticus 19:28:

1. Mourning cuts (pagan practice)
Book of Deuteronomy 14:1
“You shall not cut yourselves nor shave the front of your head for the dead.” ( But in today's world practice, everyone shaves their heads or barbes their hairs and no one is condemning it because they don't know that shaving or the practice of barbing hairs or having hair cut is the same thing as tattooing their self) so both hairs cut or barbing of hairs or shaving the front of their heads is the same as tattooing.

Similar to Leviticus—God forbids self-cutting linked to mourning rituals.

2. Prophets of Baal cutting themselves
First Book of Kings 18:28

“They cried aloud and cut themselves… till the blood gushed out.”
Shows how idol worship involved body cutting, which God rejected.

3. Pagan markings and shame

Book of Jeremiah 16:6
“They shall not be buried… nor shall men lament for them, cut themselves…”

Again connects cutting the body with pagan mourning.

4. Marks for idolatry (symbolic reference)

Book of Isaiah 44:5
“Another shall write with his hand, ‘The Lord’s,’ and name himself by the name of Israel.”

This is not about tattoos, but shows the idea of marking identity or belonging.

CONCLUSION

Only one verse (Leviticus 19:28) directly mentions tattoos

Other verses talk about cutting or marking the body in pagan worship or mourning

The main concern in the Old Testament is idolatry and ungodly rituals, not body art itself in isolation

SIMPLE UNDERSTANDING.

GOD’S INSTRUCTION WAS MAINLY: “Do not copy the practices of idol worshippers.”

15/04/2026

PART TWO

TOPIC: TATTOOS IS NOT A SIN

MINISTERING: NKASI IGNATIUS BONIFACE

Tattoos are mentioned in the Old Testament, and the key verse most people refer to is:

The book of Leviticus 19:28
“You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.”

What does this mean?

In ancient times, surrounding nations practiced:

Cutting their bodies as part of mourning rituals for the dead.

Marking their skin (tattoos) to honor idols or false gods.

God gave this command to the Israelites to separate them from pagan practices and keep them holy.

Important context

This law was part of the ceremonial and cultural laws given specifically to Israel under the Old Covenant.( We no longer subject to the laws of Moses, but by the finished work of the cross which is grace).

It was about:

Avoiding idolatry

Rejecting pagan worship customs

HOW IS IT UNDERSTOOD TODAY?

Tattoos is about intention.

They understand that:

The command was mainly about idolatry and pagan rituals.

A tattoo today (not tied to idol worship) is not the same context

Deeper spiritual principle

You may design all part of your body with tattoos over time but one thing is sure and that God is please with you through the blood of Jesus, is all about grace, and not hard work.

CONCLUSION

The Old Testament does mention tattoos, but in a specific cultural and spiritual context.

Tattoos is allowed under grace and also allowed in the old testament.

Tattoo signifies "LOVE", Tattoos means love and it's pointed to love., Tattoos is a picture of love or sign of love when you love someone you tattoos their name or their picture on your body. Jesus loves us and He tattooed our names on His hand. Isaiah 49:16
[16]See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.
In today's world a sister or a brother would tattoos the name or the picture of their love ones said "husband or boyfriend or mother or wife or any celebrities of their choice" why because He/she is in love with the person.

PART ONE

TOPIC: TATTOOS IS NOT A SIN

MINISTERING: NKASI IGNATIUS BONIFACE

“I have carved your name on my hand”— Isaiah 49:16.

It’s a powerful expression of God’s love and remembrance. In that verse, God is speaking to His people, saying that He has permanently engraved them on His hands—meaning:
He will never forget you
You are constantly before Him
You are deeply valued and remembered

MEANING:

Even when it feels like you are forgotten or alone, God is saying, “You are always on my mind—I cannot lose sight of you.”

SPIRITUAL INSIGHT:

Just like something carved into the hand cannot be easily erased, God’s commitment to you is permanent and intentional.

That means your name is tattooed on the hand of God, Which is the righteous hand that brought forth salvation to man.

Jesus was pierced on His hand to give you the proof and that is tattooed- Isaiah 49:16.

So God created tattoos and and Jesus tattoos His body ( hand ).

Inscribed means something that is written, engraved, cut, or carved onto a surface, usually in a lasting or permanent way.

EXPLANATION:

To inscribe is to mark words or symbols on something so they remain there.

It can be on stone, metal, wood, paper, Body or even spiritually.

SPIRITUAL SENSE:

“God has inscribed you on His hands” → meaning you are deeply remembered and valued.

SYNONYMS ( DIFFERENCE WORD WITH SAME MEANING ):

Engraved

Carved

Written

Imprinted

Imprint

Mark

Shape

Cut.

God remembers you because He tattooed your name on His body ( hand ) sees you, and will never abandon you:

1. Book of Isaiah 49:15
“Can a woman forget her nursing child…? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you.”

Meaning:

Even the strongest human love can fail, but God’s love for you is unfailing.

2. Book of Psalms 139:17–18
“How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God… they are more than the sand.”

Meaning:

God is constantly thinking about you—you are always on His mind.

3. Book of Jeremiah 31:3
“I have loved you with an everlasting love…”

Meaning:

God’s love is not temporary—it is eternal and unchanging.

4. Book of Hebrews 13:5
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Meaning:

No matter the situation, God is always with you.

5. Gospel of Matthew 10:30–31
“The very hairs of your head are all numbered… Do not fear therefore.”

Meaning:

God knows you in detail—nothing about you is overlooked.

6. Book of Psalms 34:15
“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.”

Meaning:

God sees you and hears you when you call—you are never ignored.

7. Book of Lamentations 3:22–23
“His mercies never fail… they are new every morning.”

Meaning:

Every day, God renews His care for you—you are not forgotten today.

ENCOURAGEMENT.

All these scriptures point to one truth:
You are remembered, known, and deeply loved by God—at all times.

PART ELEVEN

TOPIC: TIMING

BY NKASI IGNATIUS BONIFACE

To train your spirit to recognize God’s voice more clearly and consistently, you develop habits that sharpen spiritual sensitivity over time. It’s less about “one big moment” and more about daily alignment and practice.

1. Build Daily Quiet Time With God

“Be still, and know that I am God…” — Psalm 46:10

Set aside quiet moments daily (even 10–20 minutes)

Turn down distractions (phone, noise, multitasking)

Don’t rush prayer—include silence to listen
Why it matters:

You learn God’s voice by familiarity, not urgency.

2. Saturate Your Mind With Scripture

“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17

Read the Bible consistently

Meditate on verses, not just reading quickly

Let Scripture shape your thinking patterns

Result:
You begin to recognize what matches God’s nature and what doesn’t.

3. Practice Obedience in Small Things
Luke 16:10 — “He who is faithful in little…”

When you feel a gentle prompting, obey quickly (if it aligns with Scripture)

Don’t wait for “big instructions” only
Train responsiveness in everyday life

WHY:

Obedience sharpens spiritual sensitivity.

4. Learn to Recognize Peace as a Guide

Colossians 3:15 — “Let the peace of God rule…”

Pay attention to inner calm vs unrest

Don’t ignore subtle peace or discomfort

Use peace as a “spiritual compass”

KEY:

God often speaks through settled peace, not noise

5. Reduce Inner and Outer Noise

Limit constant social media input

Avoid emotional overload (too many voices, opinions)
Create space for reflection

WHY:

A noisy mind makes God’s voice harder to recognize.

6. Ask for Wisdom Before Decisions
James 1:5 — “Ask of God, who gives liberally…”

Before choices, pray:
“Lord, guide me”
“Show me Your will”
“Close what is not from You”

RESULT:

You begin to see clearer patterns of guidance.

7. Learn God’s Patterns Over Time
God often speaks in patterns:
repetition (same message appearing again and again)scripture alignment
inner conviction + external confirmation.

KEY:

You recognize His voice like recognizing a familiar person, not a stranger.

8. Keep a Reflection Habit.

After decisions, ask:
What did I sense before this?

Did peace confirm or warn me?

What did I learn from this?

WHY:

Experience builds discernment memory.

9. Stay Humble and Teachable
Proverbs 3:5–6
Don’t assume you already “know it all”

Be open to correction

Learn from mature
believers

Pride blocks sensitivity;

humility sharpens it.

SUMMARY

You recognize God’s voice better by:

prayer, Scripture, obedience, peace, silence, wisdom-seeking, reflection, and humility.

PRINCIPLE

You don’t learn God’s voice in noise—you learn it in relationship and repetition.

PART TEN

TOPIC: TIMING.

BY NKASI IGNATIUS BONIFACE.

DISCERNING GOD VOICE VERSUS YOUR THOUGHTS VERSUS EMOTIONAL PRESSURE IS A KEY PART OF SPIRITUAL MATURITY.

They can feel similar at first, but they have different “fruits” and patterns.

HERE'S HOW TO TELL THEM APART:

1. God’s Voice (Holy Spirit Leading)
John 10:27 — “My sheep hear My voice…”

How it feels:
Calm, steady, and clear

Not rushed or panicked

Often simple,

not complicated

Comes with inner peace or conviction.

What it produces:

Peace (even if the instruction is challenging)

Clarity over time
Strength to obey
Consistency with Scripture

Key sign:

God’s voice does not confuse—it confirms.

2. Your Own Thoughts (Human Reasoning)
How it feels:

Logical but unstable

Often “back and forth”
Based on analysis,

experience, or opinion
Can change quickly

What it produces:

Doubt after thinking too much

Over-analysis
“What if…” scenarios

No deep inner peace

Key sign:

Your thoughts argue with themselves.

3. Emotional Pressure (Fear, Anxiety, Excitement)

This is the most misleading voice.

How it feels:

Urgency (“do it NOW!”)

Fear (“if you don’t act, you’ll lose everything”)

Strong excitement or anxiety

Restlessness in the body or mind

What it produces:

Rash decisions

Regret later

Confusion after action

Drained feeling

Key sign:

Emotion pushes you;

God leads you.

4. Quick Comparison

Source

Feeling

Speed

Result

God’s voice

Peaceful, steady

Calm timing

Clarity & stability

Thoughts

Logical but unstable
Changing

Doubt & analysis

Emotions

Urgent,

intense

Fast pressure

Regret or confusion

5. A Simple Spiritual Test

When you sense direction, ask:

1. Is there peace or pressure?

Peace = likely God

Pressure = likely emotion

2. Does it align with Scripture?

Yes = possible God

No = reject it

3. Does it remain consistent over time?

Yes = confirmation
No = likely thoughts/emotion

6. The Most Important Principle

God leads with peace and clarity, not confusion and fear.

Confusion is not His language

Fear is not His method

Pressure is not His leading

1 Corinthians 14:33 — “God is not the author of confusion.”

SUMMARY

God’s voice = peace,
clarity, consistency.

Thoughts = analysis, instability

Emotions = urgency, fear, pressure.

13/04/2026

PART NINE

TOPIC: TIMING

BY NKASI IGNATIUS BONIFACE

God often confirms direction in multiple consistent ways,

not just one sign.

The goal is repetition and alignment—when several of these agree, clarity becomes stronger.

THE MAIN WAYS GOD CONFIRMS DIRECTION:

1. Inner Peace (Strongest Basic Confirmation)

Colossians 3:15 — “Let the peace of God rule in your hearts.”

Deep calm in your spirit, even if the situation is uncertain.

No inner confusion or agitation.

A steady “rightness” about the decision.

Key point:

Peace is not excitement—it is stability.

2. Scripture Confirmation

Psalm 119:105 — “Your word is a lamp to my feet…”

A Bible verse repeatedly speaks to your situation

A scripture suddenly feels “alive” and personal.

God’s Word aligns with the direction you are considering.

WARNING:

God will never lead you in contradiction to His Word.

3. Repeated Prompting (Repetition Pattern)
You keep hearing the same message from different places through:

sermons,

conversations,

thoughts during prayer,

random reminders.

Example:

If “wait,” “move,” or “prepare” keeps repeating, pay attention.

Repetition is often confirmation, not coincidence.

4. Godly Counsel (Wise Confirmation)

Proverbs 11:14 — “In the multitude of counselors there is safety.”

Mature believers independently say similar things
Spiritual leaders confirm what you are sensing,

Wise people see what you might be missing.

Key:

True counsel brings clarity, not confusion.

5. Open or Closed Doors

Revelation 3:7

Open doors = opportunity + favor + access.

Closed doors = repeated blockage despite effort.

IMPORTANT:

One closed door may be redirection,

Repeated closure often means restriction from God.

6. Circumstantial Alignment

God sometimes arranges events to guide you:

timing “just works out” perfectly

unexpected help appears

delays protect or redirect you

things fall into place without forcing

This is God shaping your path externally.

7. Conviction in Prayer (Inner Knowing).

During prayer, you feel a strong settled direction
Not emotional hype, but deep assurance.

You “just know” without full explanation.

Romans 8:14 — Led by the Spirit of God.

8. Lack of Peace When You Resist the Direction.

When you try to go opposite direction:
unrest increases,
confusion rises,
things feel “off”.
This is also confirmation by contrast.

9. Gradual Alignment of All Signs.

The strongest confirmation is when:

peace + scripture + counsel + circumstances
all begin to point in the same direction.

One sign can be mistaken.

Multiple aligned signs become clarity.

SUMMARY

God confirms direction through:

peace,

scripture,

repetition,

wise counsel,

doors opening/closing,

life events,

prayer conviction, and

consistent alignment of signs.

13/04/2026

PART EIGHT.

TOPIC: TIMING.

BY NKASI IGNATIUS BONIFACE

way to pray when you are unsure whether to stay or move in a season.

The goal is not emotional pressure, but clear direction from God.

1. Pray for Clarity (Not Speed)
Start by asking God for understanding, not action.

James 1:5 — “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God…”

PRAYER:

“Lord, give me wisdom to understand what You are doing in this season. Remove confusion from my heart.”

2. Ask God to Confirm His Will Clearly

Don’t assume—ask for confirmation.

PRAYER:

“Father, if I am to stay, confirm it with peace and stability. If I am to move, confirm it with clarity and direction.”

3. Pray for Closed Wrong Doors and Open Right Ones.

This removes confusion in decisions.

PRAYER:

“Lord, close every door that is not from You, and open only what You have prepared for me.”

Revelation 3:7 — God opens and shuts doors.

4. Pray Against Emotional Decision-Making.

Emotions can mislead timing.

PRAYER:

“Father, deliver me from fear, pressure, impatience, and emotional decisions.

Let Your Spirit lead me.”

5. Ask for Peace as Confirmation

Peace is one of God’s strongest signals.

Colossians 3:15 — “Let the peace of God rule in your heart.”

PRAYER:

“Lord, let Your peace rule in my heart.

If I should stay, let me have peace.

If I should move, let me have peace.”

6. Pray for Timing, Not Just Direction

Even right decisions can be wrong if the timing is off.

PRAYER:

“God, align me with Your perfect timing. Do not let me move too early or too late.”

7. Surrender Your Own Plans

This is very important for clarity.

PRAYER:

“Lord, I surrender my plans, desires, and expectations.

Let Your will be done, not mine.”

Matthew 26:39 — “Not my will, but Yours be done.”

8. Wait in Silence After Praying.

After prayer:

don’t rush to act immediately

stay quiet and sensitive
observe inner peace and conviction

God often speaks after surrender, not during noise.

SUMMARY

When unsure:

ask for wisdom,

request confirmation,

remove emotional pressure,

seek peace,

trust timing,

surrender fully, and

wait in quiet sensitivity

PART SEVEN. TOPIC: TIMING

BY NKASI IGNATIUS BONIFACE

TOPIC: TIMING.

KNOWING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SEASON THAT IS ENDING AND A SEASON THAT IS JUST BEING TESTED OR REFINED IS VERY IMPORTANT IN SPIRITUAL DISCERNMENT.

How to tell the difference:

1. When a Season is Truly Ending

A. Repeated Closure (Not One-Time)
Doors keep closing consistently.

What used to work no longer works at all.

Efforts produce no lasting fruit.

Revelation 3:7 — “What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open.”

B. Loss of Grace for That Season

You feel no strength or desire to continue there

Things feel “heavy” or forced spiritually

What was once easy becomes difficult

Grace is often withdrawn before relocation.

C. Clear Redirection by God

New instructions begin to appear

God starts showing something different repeatedly

You receive confirmation through Scripture, prayer, or counsel

D. Peace to Let Go.
Even if it’s painful, there is inner release

You sense closure, not confusion

You are no longer “tied” inwardly

Peace often seals the end of a season.

E. Replacement Begins to Appear

New opportunities start showing up

New desires or assignments emerge

God does not leave you empty—He replaces

2. When a Season is Being Tested (Not Ending)

A. Temporary Resistance

You face obstacles, but not total closure

Things still work, but with pressure

Progress is slow but not stopped

Testing refines you; it does not remove you.

B. Strengthening, Not Removal

You are being stretched, not relocated

Character is being built

Lessons are being repeated until learned

James 1:3 — “Testing of your faith produces patience.”

C. Confusion, But Not Closure

You feel unsure, but doors are still open

No final “stop,” just delay or difficulty

God is refining your decision-making

D. Correction Instead of Change

God adjusts you, not your entire assignment

You are learning how to do it better, not leaving it

E. Growth Through Pressure

You become stronger spiritually or mentally

You gain wisdom in the same environment

You are still being used where you are

3. Simple Way to Differentiate
Season Ending:

Everything closes

Peace to leave

New direction appears

No more grace there

Season Testing:
Things are hard but still open

You are being corrected

Growth is happening there

No clear new assignment yet

4. Key Principle (Very Important)

God does not confuse testing with transition.

Testing = “Stay and grow”

Transition = “Move when I say move”

SUMMARY

You are in an ending season when:

everything closes,

peace leaves, and

new direction appears.

You are in a testing season when:

things are hard, but God is still building you there.
