Yesterday, Safel Better Life joined the Edo State Ministry of Women Affairs & Social Development and partners for the launch of the Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence Policy 2026.

Vulnerable individuals are at a higher risk of online abuse such as cyberstalking, harassment, sextortion, and non-consensual sharing of images.

We welcome this policy as a critical step to
create safer digital spaces for the vulnerable groups we serve.

Thank you to the Edo State Ministry of Women Affairs for inviting CSOs like us to the table. The work to protect health, dignity, and welfare of vulnerable individuals continues both online and offline.

SAFEL Better Life Organization was represented at the Strategic Meeting with the Hon. Commissioner, Edo State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Bisi Idaomi Esq.

The meeting with the leadership of CONGOs (Conference of Non-Governmental Organizations) and CSO/NGO leaders focused on strengthening collaboration and advancing social protection in line with the SHINE Agenda of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo.

We commend Dr. Idaomi for reaffirming government support for credible CSOs and NGOs, and for recognizing our role in reaching vulnerable communities at the grassroots.
