ROBERT GORDON UNIVERSITY, LEADERSHIP CHALLENGE FOUNDATION (LCF) TRAIN WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS ON AI, DIGITAL BUSINESS

Robert Gordon University, in collaboration with the Leadership Challenge Foundation (LCF) has hosted Women Entrepreneurs Accelerate Africa, with the theme: Women Entrepreneurs Capacity Building

The seminar held on Thursday, July 2, 2026 in Port Harcourt, focused on digital training and the ease of doing business.

The Executive Director of LCF, Dr. Mrs. Joy Success lkpe, said the essence of the seminar was to bring women together for digital training on modern business practices.

According to her, women play important roles in the economic development of any society. She said the training empowered participants with knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, AI, and urged them to leverage digital communication to grow their businesses successfully.

The first speaker, Otaria Benjamin, spoke on the use of AI in business. She said AI has made doing business easier in the modern age.

“With AI, business becomes faster and easier with the use of digital communication. It can also rebrand your business,” she stated.

Otaria noted that Nigerian women are among the best-performing women in business globally, and urged women entrepreneurs to explore AI to compete favourably with their counterparts anywhere in the world.

Also speaking, Dr. Patricia Obonaya ( Ada Ekpeye) advised the women to apply the knowledge gained from the seminar to advance their businesses. She said many businesses crash due to lack of information, and commended the organizers for training women on digital communication.

She further urged women in business to always have confidence in what they do.

One of the participants, Mrs. Faith Eriawo, said the seminar exposed her to how to package and plan her business, especially using AI.

She thanked the organizers for educating women and appealed to them to sustain the initiative, noting that many women in business are not yet aware of such opportunities.
