If you are seeing our page for the first time let us introduce ourselves. 🌍
We are IPID. Igbo People in Diaspora.
We are a non-profit organization with one clear mission:
To build a bridge between the Igbo diaspora and the communities, youth, and opportunities back home in Southeast and South-South Nigeria.
Not through speeches. Not through ceremonies.
Through action.
Here is what we actually do:
Agriculture & Agribusiness — connecting diaspora investment to real farming opportunities back home
Business & Entrepreneurship — equipping young people with the skills and plans to build sustainable businesses
Technology & Innovation — opening doors for youth to participate in the digital economy
Education — supporting access to learning and professional development across SE/SS Nigeria
We started this work in 2017. We are still growing. But every year, more young people and more diaspora members are finding their way to what we are building.
We believe that when the diaspora and the homeland work together — extraordinary things become possible. 🤝

Most youth in SE/SS Nigeria don't lack ideas. They lack the 3 things that turn an idea into a business. ⬇️

1️⃣ A written plan
Most ideas live only in people's heads. The moment you write it down what you're selling, who you're selling to, and how you make money everything becomes clearer. A business plan doesn't have to be 40 pages. One page is enough to start.

2️⃣ One person who has done it before
A mentor who has built a business in your field is worth more than any course or certificate. They know what works in your specific market. They can save you years of wrong decisions.

3️⃣ A community that holds you accountable
Most people give up not because the idea was bad but because they were surrounded by people who didn't take it seriously. The right environment changes everything.

At IPID, our Business & Entrepreneurship Workshops are built around exactly these three things.

We don't just teach. We build the conditions for youth to actually succeed.

Not for entertainment. Not for a ceremony.

To learn. To build. To connect.

This was IYAM Igbo Youth Awareness Month. And what happened over those 4 days reminded us why this work matters so much.

Young people who had never written a business plan wrote one.
Young people who had never spoken in front of professionals spoke.
Young people who felt invisible in their communities were seen.

No one paid them to show up.
They came because they believed something better was possible.

That belief is what IPID exists to honour. 🙏

We don't just run events. We change the trajectory of young lives one gathering at a time.

IPID, is a Non Partisan, Non political Organization connecting all people of Igbo extraction from South East and South South of Nigeria living across the world.

Founded in 2017 , IPID is anchored on a philosophy of self reliance and aims to foster abilities of Igbo youth in unleashing their potentials through innovation, technology, education, Agriculture, as well as business and commerce to succeed in society.

IPID ultimate goals are also aimed at fostering sustainable community development , security of lives and property while reducing unemployment.
