Odulana Paul Kehinde (AN/23C/3239) who discussed the role of education in spurring socio-economic development noted that education is the key that will allow many other Goals to be achieved. According to him, when people are able to access quality education, they can break free from the cycle of poverty.

Odulana encouraged the students to take their learning seriously, as education empowers people everywhere to live healthy and sustainable lives. He informed them that education was not a scam, stressing that it is the bedrock for societal development.

He called on government to prioritise education financing in order to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. He equally encouraged the government to make education free and compulsory, employ more qualified and passionate teachers as well as improve on basic school infrastructure to guarantee a conducive learning environment for students and teachers.

Mr. Ariyo-Agbaje encouraged the students to utilise their skills and talents by exploring ways to improve same in order for them to be able to bridge the growing inequality gap, stressing that was the only way for them to safeguard themselves against high economic vulnerability which is capable of making them unproductive.
