Anchor Scripture: 2 Samuel 17:23, Prov.25:25

NOTABLE POINTS:
1. There are many people who have done things against you not because they wanted to, but because of evil counsel.

2. When evil counselors are against you, they will counsel people not to help you.

3. When the enemies want to reduce a man, they put allegations.

4. Evil counselors will make a good man appear as a bad man.

5. You should be tired of news and stories that are negative.

PRAYER SESSION:
1. My father (2×), in the name of Jesus, as I begin to pray 🙇‍♂️, Anyone giving evil counsel against me, may your counsel be rejected, may you be frustrated🙇‍♂️

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: Pro. 10 :12.

TOPIC: STAND OUT (Pt. 2)

TEXT: Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings: he shall not stand before mean men. Proverbs 22 :29.



Let us examine the amplified version of our anchor text today. "Do you see a man diligent and skillful in his business? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men." Proverbs 22 :29; The amplified version says a man that is diligent will not stand with obscure men. The word obscure means ordinary people. Meaning a man that is diligent and skillful will stand with extra-ordinary men.

Joseph was gifted in interpretation of dreams; it was in doing that which God has put in his hands that he stood out. In Potiphar's house he stood to the extent that Potiphar put him in charge of everything in his house except his wife. In Genesis 39 :9; He said to Potiphar's wife, "There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?"

And he was thrown into prison because he was wrongly accused by Potiphar's wife. Yet in prison he was still in charge because he was diligent. "The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper." Genesis 39 :23;.Even when Joseph was called to interpret Pharaoh's dream, he did not only interpret Pharaoh's dream but gave advise that Pharaoh should look for man discreet and wise to oversee and store the surplus and also appoint officers to take up the fifth part. And no one was found competent to fit in. "And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?" Gen 41 :38; Joseph made himself the only person viable for the position he advertised.

Child of God, how skillful are you in that your business? Are you exceptional that people search for you? Or are you just like anybody? May the wisdom of God that stand people out, rest on you.

My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me to be skillful (exceptional) in my business.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: Psa. 49 - 51.

TOPIC: THE VIRTUE OF PATIENCE.

TEXT: And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness.
2 Peter 1 :5 - 6.



Patience is a necessary virtue if we must actualize God's purpose for our lives; but sad to say several believers have not come to understand the importance of patience in their walk with God.

Many think patience is a wasting time, a time of delay or means slow accomplishment so they end up complaining in that period, thereby giving the devil room to afflict them. Due to ignorance of the virtue of patience, several training period of God to mature His people have been translated to wasting time or affliction because the people lack an understanding of divine timing.

The bible says in Hebrews 6 :12; "That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises". There is a divine timing for everything in life. "To everything in life, there is a time and season Eccl. 3 :1. Babes in the kingdom may not understand this, but Sons do. If the children of Israel understood timing the thirty years of affliction would have been avoided.
They would have only exercised patience 400 years which is divine timing and kicked the enemy out after that.


PRAYER.
My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray now, give me an understanding of divine timing, so that patience can have its work in me, in Jesus name.
