“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” Matthew 28:6

In commemoration of the birthday of Dr. Grace Joseph Gainakwo, Founder and President of the Grace Joseph Foundation (GJF), we are excited to announce our upcoming outreach at the Kuje Medium Security Correctional Center.

On Tuesday, 2nd December, we were privileged to meet with the Controller of Prisons, Mr. Christopher Peter Jen—an exceptional leader at the helm of affairs of the Nigerian Correctional Center, FCT Command. He welcomed us warmly and shared the remarkable strides his administration has made in establishing skill acquisition systems within the only correctional center in the FCT — the Kuje Medium Security Correctional Center.

Our visit reminded us that every inmate is a human being with potential, hope, and a future worth investing in. Many of them long for a second chance, for dignity, and for opportunities that can help them rebuild their lives. At GJF, we believe that transformation begins with compassion—and grows through empowerment, education, and consistent support.

We also explored meaningful opportunities for collaboration between both institutions, all aimed at bringing restoration, skills, and renewed hope to the inmates.

We look forward to an outreach that not only provides care and resources, but also reminds every inmate that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.
