WIVES OF DELTA STATE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMEN LAUNCH FOOD BANK IN AKWUKWU-IGBO TO CUSHION FOOD INSECURITY AS MRS FLORA ESEWEZIE PLAYS HOST TO HER CONSOCIATES

The wife of the Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area, Chief Mrs Flora Esewezie on Wednesday hosted the wives of All Local Government Council Chairmen in Delta State as they officially launched the food bank which will help mitigate against food scarcity and boost food security in the State.

The wives of the Local Government Chairmen were received by the wife of Hon. Innocent Esewezie at the Council Secretariat as they distributed over 2500 bags of rice, Cartons of Groundnut oil, Cartons of Tin Tomatoes, bags of Salt, Spices amongst other food items which is meant to support the indigents in the LGAs especially ahead of the festive season.

The women noted that it was important to support the efforts of the LGA Chairmen and prayed together for their husbands success in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people. They had special thanks for the wife of the Delta State Governor and First Lady of the State, Deaconess (Mrs) Tobore Oborevwori for her motherly role and advice to them.

The women also had special appreciation for the leadership of ALGON and all Council Chairmen in the State for being supportive of their move to bring more succour to the locals who truly need the help and revealed that the Food Bank will be available in all the 25 local government of the State.
