Barr. Mrs. Victoria Bolanle Afolabi delivered a powerful speech on “Transformative Christian Response to Gender-Based Violence (GBV)” at St. Patrick Anglican Church, Diocese of Owo.

She emphasized the vital role of the Church in promoting love, justice, and protection for the vulnerable, encouraging Christian communities to stand firmly against all forms of gender-based violence.

Together, we can build safer homes, stronger communities, and a society where dignity and respect prevail.

The Executive Secretary of the Agency Against Gender-Based Violence (Barr Bolanle Afolabi), alongside other Directors, received the Team from Network of People Living with HIV and AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN) during an advocacy visit to the Agency.
The visit focused on strengthening collaboration and fostering strategic partnerships to enhance the prevention and response to Gender-Based Violence (GBV) issues across the State.

Today, Ondo State Agency Against Gender Based Violence represented by the Executive Secretary, Barrister Mrs Victoria Bolanle Afolabi sensitised pregnant women and nursing mothers about the dangers of Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM) at the Comprehensive Health Centre, Arakale, Akure.

Barrister Mrs Victoria Bolanle Afolabi, highlighted the health risks and legal implications of FGM, reminded participants of legal sanctions prescribed for offenders under the VAPP law which is 4years imprisonment, and also urged participants to abandon this harmful practice in order to protect our girls and women!
