DAY 1 – Friday, 26th December 2025
God Is a God of Increase
Bible Reading: Isaiah 54:1–3

God spoke words of growth to Israel when they felt empty. This teaches us that God does not wait for things to look good before He speaks blessings. Even when our year has been difficult, God still plans increase for our lives.
Biblical Story Reference
God’s promise to Abraham – Genesis 12:1–3
Activity
Year Review Talk
Children share one good thing God did for them in 2025 and one challenge they faced. Caregivers encourage them that God was present in both.
Prayer
“Thank You, Lord, for bringing us through this year.”

DAY 2 – Saturday, 27th December 2025
Make Room in Your Heart
Bible Reading: Proverbs 4:23

Activity
Heart Check
Children quietly reflect and mention one attitude they want God to help them change as the year ends.

“God, help me let go of wrong attitudes and obey You.”

DAY 3 – Sunday, 28th December 2025
Stretch Your Faith
Bible Reading: Hebrews 11:6
Devotional Thought
God asked His people to stretch their tents. Stretching means trusting God beyond comfort. Faith grows when we rely on God, not on fear.
Biblical Story Reference
Peter walking on water – Matthew 14:28–31
Activity
Faith Sharing
Children mention one thing they want to trust God for in the new year (school, behavior, courage).
Prayer
“Lord, help my faith grow stronger.”

DAY 4 – Monday, 29th December 2025
Lengthen Your Reach
Bible Reading: Matthew 5:16
Devotional Thought
God blesses us so that others can be blessed through us. Our actions, words, and attitudes should show God’s love.
Biblical Story Reference
The Good Samaritan – Luke 10:30–37
Activity
Service Time
Children help with cleaning, organizing, or assisting younger ones as a way of blessing others.
Prayer
“Jesus, help me be a blessing to others.”

DAY 5 – Tuesday, 30th December 2025
Strengthen Your Foundation
Bible Reading: Matthew 7:24–27
Devotional Thought
As life grows bigger, our foundation must be strong. Obedience, prayer, and discipline help us stand firm in every season.
Biblical Story Reference
Daniel in the lions’ den – Daniel 6
Activity
Foundation Discussion
Talk about habits that help children grow strong (prayer time, respect, honesty).
Prayer
“Lord, help me build my life on Your Word.”

DAY 6 – Wednesday, 31st December 2025

VCH 7-DAY CHILDREN’S DEVOTIONAL
(TOTAL SUBMISSION)

Theme: “Mo Faramọ Ẹmí Ọlọrun – I Submit to the Spirit of God”

27th November – 3rd December 2025

DAY 1 — November 27

Topic: God Leads Me

Scripture: Romans 8:14
“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.”

Message:
God loves to guide His children. When He leads you, He shows you the right way to behave, speak, and make decisions. Submitting to God means listening when He speaks to your heart and choosing to obey.

Prayer:
“Holy Spirit, lead me today. Help me follow Your voice.”

Activity:
Write or draw one place where you want God to lead you today (school, chores, friendships, behaviour).

DAY 2 — November 28

Topic: Trusting God’s Plan

Scripture: Proverbs 3:5–6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and He shall direct your paths.”

Message:
Even when you don’t understand everything, God sees the whole picture. Trusting Him shows that you depend on Him more than your own ideas.

Prayer:
“Lord, teach me to trust You even when I don’t understand.”

Activity:
Think of something you are worried about. Write it down and then say, “God, I trust You with this.”

DAY 3 — November 29

Topic: Saying Yes to God

Scripture: James 4:7
“Submit yourselves therefore to God.”

Message:
Surrender means saying “Yes, Lord.” It means choosing God’s way even when your own way feels easier. God blesses the hearts that obey Him.

Prayer:
“Father, help me say ‘Yes’ to You every day.”

Activity:
Choose one good behaviour to practice today (sharing, greeting, patience, listening). Write it on a small paper and keep it with you.

DAY 4 — November 30

Topic: God Works Everything for Good

Scripture: Romans 8:28
“All things work together for good to those who love God…”

Message:
Sometimes things happen that we don’t like. But when you belong to God, He can turn even difficult moments into blessings. Submitting to Him means trusting that His plan is always good.

Prayer:
“Lord, make everything in my life work for my good.”

Activity:
Think of a time something didn’t go your way. Write one good thing you later learned from it.

DAY 5 — December 1

Topic: God’s Ways Are Higher

Scripture: Isaiah 55:8–9
“My ways are higher than your ways…”

Message:
God understands things we don’t. His decisions are wiser and better than ours. When we surrender to the Holy Spirit, we are choosing the best path because it is God’s path.

Prayer:
“Holy Spirit, help me choose Your way instead of my own.”

Activity:
List two decisions you need to make soon (how to act, how to treat others). Ask, “God, what would You want me to choose?”

DAY 6 — December 2

Topic: Walking With the Spirit

Scripture: Galatians 5:25
“If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

Message:
Walking with the Spirit means behaving in a way that makes God happy—showing kindness, control, gentleness, and love. Every day is a chance to walk step by step with Him.

Prayer:
“Lord, help me walk with Your Spirit in my words and actions.”

Activity:
Observe yourself today. At the end of the day, write one action that showed you were walking with the Spirit.

DAY 7 — December 3

Topic: Being Content with God’s Will

Scripture: Philippians 4:11
“I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.”

Message:
Saying “Bí O ṣe n ṣe, ó dùn mọ́ mi” means being happy with God’s plan. Contentment means not complaining, not comparing, and trusting that what God gives is enough.

Prayer:
“Father, help me be content with Your will for my life.”

Activity:
Write three things you are thankful that God has done for you this week.

*JESUS PAID IT ALL — ONCE AND FOR ALL*

A *7-Day Devotional* for Children at Valerie Chapman Home
November 6– November 12, 2025
Theme Verse: Hebrews 10:12 — “But when this Priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God.”

DAY 1 – THURSDAY NOVEMBER 6

Title: The Price Was Paid in Full

Text: John 19:30 – “It is finished.”

When Jesus said, “It is finished,” He meant every part of your salvation was complete — your sins forgiven, your peace restored, and your future secured.

*Reflection*: Jesus didn’t leave any debt behind; you owe nothing but love.
*Confession*: “Jesus finished it all for me!”
🪘 Song: “Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe…”
Proverb: “Ojú tí a fi ń sùn, kì í wo ibùsùn tí a kò ṣe.”
(“The eyes that rest peacefully belong to one who has made peace.”)
— Because Jesus made peace for us, we can rest.

DAY 2 – FRIDAY NOVEMBER 7

Title: Forgiven and Free

Text: 1 John 1:9

When you confess your sins, Jesus forgives you completely. He doesn’t keep a record of wrongs. You are free from guilt and shame.

*Reflection*: Jesus never brings up forgiven sins. So don’t either.
*Confession*: “I am forgiven and free through Jesus!”
🎶 Song: “What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.”

Proverb: “Aìmọ̀ kì í jẹ́ kí a mọ̀ àánú.”
(“Without knowledge, we can’t understand mercy.”)
— Now that you know Jesus’ mercy, walk in it!

DAY 3 – SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 8

Title: No More Fear

Text: Romans 8:1 – “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

You don’t have to be afraid of punishment. Jesus took it all so you can live in peace and joy.

*Reflection*: Fear left when Jesus came in.
*Confession* “I am free from fear because Jesus loves me!”
🎵 Song: “I’ve got peace like a river…”
Proverb: “Ẹni tí Ọlọrun bá gbà, kì í bẹ̀rù ẹ̀dá.”
(“Whoever God has saved need not fear man.”)

DAY 4 – SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 9

Title: God’s Masterpiece

Text: Ephesians 2:10 – “We are God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works.”

You are not an accident — you are a masterpiece! Jesus paid the price so you can live out God’s beautiful plan for your life.

*Reflection*: You are valuable because Jesus thought you were worth dying for.
*Confession*: “I am God’s masterpiece — created for good works!”

Proverb: “Ọlọ́run kì í dá ẹni tí kò ní ìdí.”
(“God does not create anyone without purpose.”)

DAY 5 – MONDAY NOVEMBER 10

Title: Living in Victory

Text: 1 Corinthians 15:57 – “Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Because Jesus won, you have already won! No matter what happens, remember — victory is your portion.

*Reflection*: You fight from victory, not for victory.

*Confession*: “Jesus has given me victory in all things!”
🎵 Song: “Victory is mine, victory is mine, today is mine…”
Proverb: “Agbára Ọlọrun tó bọ́ lára ẹrú, kì í jẹ́ kí ẹrú tún di ẹrú.”
(“The power of God that frees a slave never lets him be enslaved again.”)

DAY 6 – TUESDAY NOVEMBER 11

Title: Sharing His Love

Text: Matthew 5:16 – “Let your light so shine before men…”

Since Jesus paid it all, we should shine His love to others — through kindness, forgiveness, and helping those in need.

*Reflection*: You show Jesus’ love when you share what you have.
*Confession*: “I will shine for Jesus through love and good works!”
🎶 Song: “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.”

Proverb: “A kì í tàn imólẹ̀ síta kí òkùnkùn má bà jìnà.”
(“Light cannot shine without driving darkness away.”)

*DAY 7 – WEDNESDAY*, NOVEMBER 12

Title: Once and for All

Text: Hebrews 10:12 – “He offered one sacrifice for sins forever.”

Jesus doesn’t need to die again — His work is eternal. Every blessing you’ll ever need is already paid for. Live joyfully in that truth!

*Reflection*: You live in victory every day because Jesus paid it all — once and for all.
*Confession*: “I am complete in Christ — nothing missing, nothing broken!”
🎶 Song: “Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.”
— Knowing Jesus’ finished work gives true peace.

*Closing Prayer for the Week*
Lord Jesus, thank You for paying it all for us. We believe that Your work on the cross is complete and perfect. Help us to live as Your forgiven, loved, and victorious children. May our lives shine Your glory in all we do. Amen.

Dear Lord, help me to trust You even when I can’t see the way. I believe You will always provide for me. Amen.

“Olowo kii sun l’oke oke” — The Provider never sleeps.

Day 2 – Thursday, October 30

Day 3 – Friday, October 31

Text: John 6:9 – “Here is a boy with five loaves and two fish.”
A small boy shared his food, and Jesus used it to feed thousands. When you share, God uses your gift to bless many.

Reflection:
You can be God’s helper when you give or share what you have.

Prayer:
Lord, make me a cheerful giver and use me to help others. Amen.

Local Proverb:
“Owe l’esin oro” — Proverbs are the horse of wisdom. (Meaning: wisdom helps us act rightly, like sharing.)

Day 4 – Saturday, November 1

Topic: God’s Provision Never Ends

God gave manna every day in the desert. He never failed to feed His people.

God’s supply does not finish — He has more than enough for everyone.

Prayer:
Thank You, Lord, because Your storehouse never runs dry. Provide for my needs every day. Amen.

Local Proverb:

Song:
🎵 “Great is Thy Faithfulness.”

Day 5 – Sunday, November 2

Topic: God Provides Strength
Text: Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
God not only gives us food and clothes; He also gives strength and wisdom.
