*RiseAlong Foundation Hosts Free Medical Outreach for the Aged as Oba Iralepo of Isinkan Endorses Initiative*
..monarch calls for better care for the elderly, as experts educate seniors on health and well-being

In a remarkable show of love and compassion, RiseAlong Foundation successfully organized a free medical outreach for senior citizens in Isinkan, Akure-South LGA, Ondo State, on February 14, 2025, as activities marking the Valentine's Day celebration. The event, themed We Are the Strength of the Aged, was aimed at ensuring that the elderly, often overlooked during Valentine’s celebrations, receive much-needed attention and care.

The outreach, which took place at Iralepo’s Palace, Ita-Owa, Isinkan, featured comprehensive health screenings, expert talks on elderly care, and interactive sessions on managing age-related health conditions. Participants received free blood pressure (BP) tests, blood sugar screenings, and medical consultations for ailments related to chest pain, sleep disorders, and general restlessness.

Speaking at the event, Mrs. Damilola Adebowale Abayomi, the converner, emphasized the purpose of the programme, stating, “The elderly are often left out of Valentine’s Day celebrations, but this is the best time to show them love. What better way to do that than to help them understand their health and provide them with free medical care?”

The guest speakers provided crucial insights into elderly health management. Dr. Adeyemo led an enlightening session on dementia awareness, discussing its symptoms, early detection, and how families can better care for those affected by the condition. Also, Mrs. Busola Owolabi guided the seniors on healthy living practices in old age, highlighting the right diet, lifestyle choices, and activities to avoid for better well-being.

Kabiyesi, His Royal Majesty, Oba Barr. Oluwagbenga Ojo, Arulewolasi III, Iralepo of Isinkan, commended RiseAlong Foundation for the initiative, describing it as a noble and impactful gesture. The monarch, who personally underwent a health check to inaugurate the programme, stressed the importance of elderly care and encouraged the aged participants to apply the health tips shared during the event.

"This is a fantastic initiative, and I wholeheartedly support it. Our elders deserve to be cared for, respected, and given the necessary medical attention to live healthier and happier lives. I urge all our senior citizens to take these lessons seriously and put them into practice." The monarch stated.

The program was well-attended and warmly received by the elderly community, many of whom expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to receive free medical care and expert health advice.

The elderly are often left out of the buzz of Valentine's Day. 😌

Sadly, those suffering from dementia are sometimes unfairly labeled as "witches."😕

Many of them are in dire need of medical support and supplies. ☹️

With just a donation of *₦2,000 or more* you can put a smile on the face of an elderly person this Valentine’s Day.🙏

Let's show love to those who need it most.

God bless you abundantly.
