NYCN ONDO STATE CHAPTER COMMENDS OUTCOME OF THE SUMMIT ON RAISING NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS ORGANIZED BY THE DUKE’S INFANT & CHILD FOUNDATION.
The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Ondo State Chapter, under the leadership of its Chairman, *Comrade Babatunde Owoto,* has commended the successful convening and impactful deliberations of Train the Training Summit themed “Empowering Our Next Generation Leaders: Raising Children to Thrive and Lead,” organized by the National Orientation Agency in partnership Ondo State with the Duke’s Infant and Child Foundation.
The summit provided a critical platform for stakeholders across government, civil society, the education sector, and youth leadership to collectively interrogate the pressing challenge of declining values system and the urgent need to deliberately nurture a generation of responsible and ethical leaders. The outcome of the summit confirmed the shared consensus that the future stability and prosperity of Nigeria depend significantly on intentional values education and coordinated community involvement in child development.
The NYCN Ondo State Chapter notes with strong conviction that the resolutions and insights that emerged from the summit constitute a strategic blueprint for strengthening the moral and intellectual foundations of our young populace. Participants emphasized the necessity of empowering parents, educators, faith based leaders, and youth mentors with practical tools that enable them to guide children through the complex social realities of the modern world.
The Council therefore pledges her support to partnering with relevant institutions to translate these conversations into actionable community based initiatives that will cultivate discipline and integrity among young people. NYCN Ondo State hereby remains resolute in championing policies and programmes that will ensure that every child is not only prepared to succeed but is deliberately nurtured to lead with character and competence, and to promote national glory.
