Samuel Olutuyi Foundation

Samuel Olutuyi Foundation All our programs and initiatives are designed to make life easier and bring stability to the lives of people in our community.

Samuel Olutuyi Foundation’s work focuses on four key areas of Education, Health, Civic engagement and Entrepreneurial support and development that create opportunities for everyone in our communities to live a better life. Our programs and projects are grassroots focused, thus enabling us to reach the most vulnerable. Our strategic partnership ensures that we find lasting solutions to the problems

that bedevil our communities, inequality in education, inadequate support for apprentice and entrepreneurs especially petty traders, poor health and wellness information and the huge gap in civic engagement. Our work is carried out with focus on solutions. This is also done with a flexible approach that allows us to apply what we learn from every program or strategy. We also carry out our work through collaborations with other organisations. Our impacts are measured by the actual growth and development of the lives and communities touched. The Foundation is not a fully grant making organization, rather an operating foundation that designs and initiate its own programs to support its mission. Most of the foundation’s grants are also part of its self-initiated programs. The solutions we create go beyond short-term charity. Our solutions are carefully executed to provide lasting and long-term solutions to the challenges that face our communities. Our solutions and support for education, health and entrepreneurship are creating vibrant communities that ensures people are able to exit the cycle of poverty. Over the past years, our solutions have reduced poverty through the provision of micro credit to petty traders and provision of grant to apprentice through our apprenticeship grant. Our educational grants as well as our Water for Education Project (WAFEP) ensures access to quality education especially for the girl child. Our investments in education helps children in our communities move towards a bright future. To achieve our goals, we engage in partnerships, both traditional and strategic corporate partnerships that seek to promote and not alter our mission. In our collaboration and investments, our mission and core values is our priority making sure that the people and communities we support feel the impact of our investments. We maintain a lean and core team that develops strategy and ensures effective management of resources, implementation, and evaluation of programs, partnerships and investments. Our goal is to ensure that the people we support feel the impact of our programs and solutions, which makes evaluation a top priority for us. Our evaluation teaches us about the outcome of our solutions, programs and strategies.

Volunteer of the Year 2025

We are proud to celebrate Wilson Olaremi Adekanbi as the Volunteer of the Year 2025 at the Samuel Olutuyi Foundation (SOF).

Wilson’s unwavering dedication, humility, and commitment to service continue to make a meaningful impact in the lives of many.
