I UNDERSTAND YOUR CONTRIBUTION IN LAGOS STATE - JANDOR ASSURES NON-YORUBA SPEAKERS IN ALIMOSHO.
Lagosians are eagerly anticipating a breathe of fresh air as they are already choked up with the ruling party's draconian style of governance over the last 23 years. The good news is that Jandor is coming as he is the answer to the prayers of the beautiful people of Lagos state. Today, the Lead Visioner of Lagos 4 Lagos Movement and gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Dr. Abdul Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor) and his running mate Barr. Funke Akindele, kicked off their 3-Day Ward Tour in Alimosho LGA with good vibes and big energy; and this made residents of Alimosho LGA troop out en masse to show them love and support.
Around 2pm, the non-Yoruba Speaking members of Alimosho PDP played host to their incoming governor and his entourage at the Gowon Estate residence of their Director General, Chief Mrs. Elizabeth Ayonote. During the welcome address, the DG and her deputies stated that their groups are ready to work round the clock to make sure they sensitize and mobilize eligible voters from the South East, South-south, North East, North West and North Central in order to ensure victory for the PDP and their candidates in the national and state elections in Lagos state. Chief Mrs. Ayonote told Dr. Adediran "We are all ready to work. We all have a part to play just as you have your part to play too."
Speaking at the reception, Jandor said that he feels the pains of non-Yoruba politicians in Lagos state and assured the non-Yoruba speaking members of the party that his government will be an all inclusive one. In his statement, while lamenting the sufferings of Lagos dwellers especially the non-Yoruba community, he said "If they call our state the richest state in Nigeria, it is because of your contribution in Alaba International, Ladipo, Aspanda, and other markets in Lagos state. If the party that has been in power for the past 23 years can not see it, I, Jandor can see it."
Jandor went further to assure the non-Yoruba community in Alimosho that when he becomes governor, he will never for one day close down any market because of crime committed by an individual; and he will make sure the position of "Iya Oloja" or "Baba Oloja" goes to the major contributors of the market. Jandor also gave assurance of appointing the non-Yorubas into key positions unlike the government in power which has appointed only one Igbo and Arewa man since 1999.
