KWAYORG Leadership Visits Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Seeks Support for Youth Development

Kwara South Youths under the aegis of the Kwara South Youth Development Association (KWAYORG) has commenced stakeholders' engagements ahead of its forthcoming Youth Development and Economic Summit.

The leadership of the youthful group led by the President, Prince Abolarin Alaba Dansharafa commenced this with a congratulatory visit to the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ismail Bolaji Yahaya Muhammed Atoloye Alebiosu on Wednesday to celebrate the monarch's fourth coronation anniversary and his recent achievements.

During the visit, KWAYORG presented a special framed portrait to the monarch, where he was tagged "The Pathfinder King in Igbomina land."

The delegation used the opportunity to share their vision and mission for youth empowerment, regional development, and fostering unity among the people of Kwara South.

To support their ambitious plans, the KWAYORG leadership submitted a formal request to the Olupo. The requests included:
* An office space for the organization's use.
* Two plots of land to serve as the site for KWAYORG's permanent headquarters.
* Assistance in linking with prominent sons and daughters of Kwara South, both at home and abroad.
* Moral and financial support for a proposed Kwara South Youth Development and Economic Summit, with a budget of ₦8,000,000.

In his response, Olupo of Ajase-Ipo expressed his appreciation for the visit and the thoughtful gesture. He promised to liaise with the Ajase-Ipo Descendants Union (ADU) national headquarters to secure a temporary office space for KWAYORG and to explore the possibility of a permanent site.

The monarch also provided a clear directive to the youth leaders noting that they must visit all other traditional rulers in the region, especially the first-class monarchs for synergy.

He further indicated that KWAYORG should prepare to meet with all the traditional rulers in a joint meeting.

Olupo concluded by issuing a strong warning against anti-social behavior, urging the youth to be exemplary role models for others.

PRESS STATEMENT
KWAYORG COMMENDS KWARA STATE GOVERNMENT, NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER, SECURITY AGENCIES AND VIGILANTE NETWORKS FOR THEIR UNWAVERING COMMITMENT TO PEACE AND SECURITY

Kwara South Youth Development Organisation (KWAYORG), under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Prince Abolarin Alaba Dansharafa, expresses its profound commendation to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), and all federal and state security agencies, including the resilient network of local vigilante groups, for their relentless efforts in restoring and sustaining peace across Kwara State.
In recent months, Kwara State has experienced a significant decline in reported incidents of banditry, cult clashes, and communal unrest, particularly in hotspots like Ifelodun, Ilorin South, and parts of Edu and Baruten. This positive shift is largely attributable to the intensified coordination between security stakeholders, grassroots intelligence mobilisation, and strategic policy interventions spearheaded by the state government in collaboration with the federal security architecture.
KWAYORG acknowledges and applauds the proactive response of security operatives in forestalling criminal incursions, as seen in the recent repulsion of armed infiltration along the Kwara Kogi boundary and the dismantling of notorious criminal cells operating in the hinterlands of Kwara South. These achievements not only reflect the professionalism of our security personnel but also affirm the efficacy of Governor AbdulRazaq’s inclusive and community-driven approach to governance.
Furthermore, we recognise the significant contributions of the Office of the National Security Adviser in facilitating improved inter-agency collaboration, intelligence sharing, and logistical support, which have enhanced operational outcomes across the state. The synergy between national and state security operatives is evidently yielding tangible dividends for the safety of all residents.
We also extend special appreciation to the local vigilantes and community security outfits who, with minimal resources, have demonstrated exceptional courage and selflessness in complementing the efforts of formal agencies. Their intimate knowledge of local terrains and unwavering commitment to community safety remain invaluable assets in the ongoing quest for sustainable peace.
As a responsible youth organisation representing the aspirations of young people across the seven Local Government Areas of Kwara South, KWAYORG reiterates its solidarity with all peace-promoting efforts. We encourage continued investment in youth empowerment, education, and security infrastructure, which are indispensable to long-term peace and development.
We urge the government not to relent in its resolve. Rather, it should consolidate these gains through sustained stakeholder engagement, community policing, and equitable deployment of security resources.
In conclusion, we reaffirm our unshaken belief in the capacity of the current administration to foster an atmosphere of tranquillity, unity, and prosperity for all Kwarans.
