Yes. Men can develop cancer too, including breast cancer.

Although breast cancer is much more common in women, men have a small amount of breast tissue and can develop breast cancer. Men should pay attention to warning signs such as:

* A new lump or swelling in the breast or armpit
* Changes in the ni**le, such as discharge or inversion
* Changes in the skin around the breast or ni**le
* Persistent pain or an unusual change in the breast

🎀 PINK OCTOBER | BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

This October, we wear pink to raise awareness, encourage early detection, and support those affected by breast cancer.

Know your breasts. Know the warning signs. Don’t ignore unusual changes.

Early detection can save lives.
Let’s spread awareness, encourage screening, and stand together in the fight against breast cancer.

🎀 Check. Detect. Act. Survive.

HAPPY NEW MONTH & HAPPY 66TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY!

As we welcome the month of October and celebrate Nigeria’s 66th Independence anniversary, we are reminded of the strength, resilience, and diversity that make our nation unique.

At Creek Health Advocacy Partners(CHAPs), we remain committed to promoting positive change in the creeks, advocating for a safe environment for the creek child, empowering and educating individuals and communities, and contributing to a more peaceful, and prosperous Nigeria.

May this new month bring hope, opportunities, and progress to individuals, families, and communities across the nation, especially to those living in the creeks.

Together, let us continue to build a Nigeria where every individual has the opportunity to thrive, and everyone's life is secured.

Keep going, the best is yet to come!
Happy New Month!
Happy 66th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria!

From all of us at Creek Health Advocacy Partners (CHAPs)

Memories from the 16th of September.

In the just concluded program at Aghoro, the founder of Creek Health Advocacy Partners(CHAPs)-Dr. Akamu, Emomotimi Enoch, in his closing speech urged the community leaders to prioritize education, and also implement measures to help curb the misuse and abuse of drugs in the community.

In his speech, he used other communities as example, and pleaded with the community leaders to implement strict rules, and sanction anyone who is seen violating these rules. This, and many more are some of the measures Dr. Akamu thinks can help to curb the use of hard drugs in the community.

Education should be prioritized, and teenage girls should be encouraged to focus on their studies, as their education is worth more than the attention they can get from any man at their age.

Dr. Akamu goes further to appreciate everyone who contributed to the success of the program. He appreciates his sponsor, especially FOUNDATION and Hon. Berry. He also extends his appreciation to the community leaders, teachers, and also the students who partook in the life changing program. He also appreciated his team who worked closely with him to ensure everything went as planned.
