MAKING DEPOSITS IN YOUR TEEN’S EMOTIONAL BANK

Parenting teens is not just about rules and results. It’s about relationship.

Just like a bank account, your teen has an "emotional bank".
Every kind word is a deposit.
Every criticism without love is a withdrawal.
Every hug, every "I see you", every time you listen without fixing... that’s a deposit.

And when the hard days come, when they make mistakes, when they need correction they’ll draw from what you’ve deposited.

Teens won’t remember every lecture.
But they will remember how you made them feel.

And sometimes the only person they want to talk to... is you.

You can’t control their thoughts.
But you CAN be the safe place for them.

Praying for every young family carrying silent burdens and fighting battles no one sees.

May God provide where there is lack, bring peace where there is tension, strengthen weak hands, and fill every home with love, wisdom, and unity. May every parent find grace for the journey, and may every child grow in an atmosphere of faith, security, and purpose.
No family is beyond God's help. His strength is made perfect in our weakness, and His mercy is new every morning.

Lord, sustain every young family trying to survive. Turn their struggles into testimonies and their worries into worship.

Your teen doesn’t need a perfect parent.
They need a present and spiritual parent.

Spiritual connection isn’t built in one big talk.

1. Prayer - Pray _with_ them, Pray for them and pray over them
2. Word - Study scripture together. Make it real and practical. Speak the word with them

Teens are watching. And listening.
Even when it looks like they’re not.

And they’re craving connection more than correction.

*How to connect emotionally:*
1. Teach them to name their emotions
2. Don't do a double take when they say things you don't agree with
3. Listen to them when they feel hurt
4. Let them feel free to express themselves

Connection is the bridge.
Correction works best when it crosses that bridge.

Not expensive gifts.
Not perfect words.
Not grand gestures.

It’s showing up.
It’s listening.
It’s choosing to be present.

Children remember the time you gave them.
Friends remember the time you made for them.
People remember when you chose them over your phone.
