THE LIFE IS IN THE FLOW....
A young brother once met me and shared a concern with me. He is having issues sleeping at night.
According to him, even when he wants to sleep, revelation would keep pouring in, that he can't ignore, so that he would spend the night writing.
And I responded, "Oh! Welcome to the club!"
"This thing" has taken countless sleep from my eyes since it started.
Including now, writing this in the middle of the night.
Part of the young man's frustration was, there is no platform to share these things he is writting.
Oh! Welcome sir!
I just met someone who shares in my matter.
I faced that same frustration.
I would ask the Holy Spirit several time, "why are you sharing these things with me?" - especially what do not concern me.
The flow!
What reminded me of this this night was a scripture that sprang up in my spirit "from nowhere";
"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will FLOW RIVERS of living water.”
(John 7:38)
The power is the flow, and if it is a river, it must flow.
And if it flows, you can't get used to the water; always new and fresh.
Several years ago, I used to wonder if I would be able to have enough messages to preach every Sunday if I become a pastor.
But now I understand, because I hardly run out of messages - I don't think I can finish my messages, because of this.
This is how it works. Even if the river is small, as long as it flows, it can go round.
Where I grew up, there is, what English people call spring, but we call this "Aji", meaning river; this one in particular is called "Aji Obele" where we used to go with wheel barrow to fetch water.
It is not big, just a small spring but it serves the whole land of Obele and people like us from the environs. Even for washing clothes.
The last time I checked, it was flowing!
That is the life of a river - the flow.
A flowing little spring is better than a stagnant large body of water - soon, the stagnation will make it stink.
This is how we have big names that have lost their flows.
Life obviously gone.
Just a recycle of old waters, like a recycle bin.
Generation after generation drinks from "Aji Obele".
As long as it still flows.
The flow!
The flow!
When you would stay awake receiving new songs from the "giver of songs in the night", just watering your soul!
When you would open a scripture and can't exhaust the revelations pouring out from the heart of the Spirit to your spirit that overwhelms your mind!
When fresh ideas keep springing from your blessed within untamably!
The flow!
Enough to go round!
Like "Aji Obele".
But, no platform - that was his frustration.
I told him, "keep writing them! The vision is for an appointed time!"
Make sure you don't let pride come in!
This is tempting!
You could go ahead of the pastor to milk the scripture he just opened before preaching - only to discover that he didn't even scratch it.
Be humble!
Pride is a block that blocks the flow.
"Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life."
(Proverbs 4:23)
Remember, spring; "Aji Obele".
It's a spring, guard it.
I have seen how several times people would remove dirts from the parts of the flow in the morning.
Several times, everyone would wait for the person removing the dirts.
Keep it clean every morning, so it would be healthy for the drinkers.
Wait!
When dirts are found. Go on retreat and clean the path of the flow.
The life of the river is the flow, just like "the life of the flesh is in the blood" (that flows); ask women.
The flow - the proof of life.
My conclusion to the brother:
Make sure you don't lose this flow. You will need it for the rest of your life.
Your generation needs this flow.
It would not let you sleep most times, just be sure you keep writing as a steward of the mysteries of God
Keep it pure; free of pride, envy, unforgiveness, and anything that corrupts the water.
Many are drinking from a corrupt water - and it tells on followers of such people.
Keep the flow clean!
The Holy Spirit is the river of living water!
Be opened to the outflow, from your belly.
Let the river flow!
For those who have lost the flow, pray:
Restore the flow Holy Spirit!
Like Donnie McClurkin would sing,
"Let the river flow,
Let the river flow,
Let the river flow,
And refresh my soul."
Let the river flow Spirit of the living God!
Flow!
"Out of my belly shall flow river,
Rivers of living water,
Iya iya O!"
I wrote a song,
"Let it flow from my belly,
Let it flow from my belly,
Let the river flow to the ends of the Earth!"
This is Holy Ghost Revolution!
Flow flow flow please let it flow!
The flow!
