International Women's Day 2021 Date: The theme for this year's International Women's Day is . It indicates that a "challenged world is an alert world, and from challenge comes change"__international women’s day.com.

——WORLD AIDS DAY 2020——

It is already bad enough that people die from HIV/AIDS ,should they also die of ignorance?

Despite the increased level of “awareness creation” on ,people still die of AIDS. What happens after being informed/health educated ? Get access to treatment right? —— one can get HIV/AIDS SUPPLEMENTS/drugs for free in govt hospitals . But how accessible is it ?

People still do not get enough access to the treatment/counselling which is supposed to help them live healthier and longer! I also understand some people would not make attempt to attend medical centres for fear of being stigmatised ( which is the major problem) or ignorant.

There’s alot of misconception about /AIDS that needs to be cleared via awareness programs ( a lot of effort has and is still being put to this but more is still needed). It’s not enough to tell them that “ being HIV positive doesn’t mean death is near” — you should include ways to access treatment as well as ensured -follow -up.
Do not also fail to make them know the disadvantages of neglecting medical care.

Today, I join my team @ Bethel Viva Foundation, Ass Against Child Sexual & Gender Based violenceDavina Healthlink Foundation as we plead for more accessible treatment and services for /AIDS in order to achieve ZERO NEW CASES FOR HIV/AIDS in Nigeria.

To anyone living with HIV/AIDS, I agree you sometimes feel so bad about your health status but then, would you rather endanger your self the more by refusing to apply for medical care? Staying home with the fear of what people will say when they know will only put you in danger the more! You would be surprised to see someone you know at the centre seated for thesame reason you came for ! So feel free because you are not the first neither are you the last.

You are not alone!
