We spent time with 35 boys during their recreational activity, talking about the dangers of drug and substance abuse.

It wasn’t a lecture, it was a conversation. We talked about peer pressure, making good choices, speaking up when they need help, and understanding that one decision can shape their future. The boys asked thoughtful questions, shared their opinions, and actively participated throughout the session.

Moments like this remind us that prevention starts with simple, honest conversations. When boys are given the right information, safe spaces to express themselves, and positive guidance, they are better equipped to make healthy decisions.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to invest in these young lives, one conversation at a time.

Happy Father’s Day to the men who lead with love, show up with intention, and nurture the next generation through their presence and example.

Fatherhood goes beyond provision; it is about guidance, protection, emotional support, and creating safe spaces where children can grow and thrive.

Today, we celebrate fathers, father figures, mentors, and caregivers who continue to shape lives and strengthen communities.

May we continue to raise boys who become responsible men and encourage men to embrace active, positive, and involved fatherhood.

As we welcome June, our thoughts and prayers are with every child who has been abducted and separated from their loved ones.

May they be protected wherever they are. May hope remain alive in the hearts of their families. May they be found safe, reunited with their loved ones, and may justice prevail.

Every child deserves safety, love, and the freedom to thrive.

Today, we celebrate the joy, dreams, and innocence of every child. Yet, beyond the celebration, we must remember the thousands of Nigerian children whose childhoods have been interrupted by terrorism, violence, displacement, and kidnapping.

Every child deserves safety, education, protection, and the freedom to simply be a child. As we mark Children’s Day, may we not only celebrate children, but also commit ourselves to building a society where every child can grow without fear.

1 safe space for honest conversations, learning, growth, and brotherhood.

To commemorate the International Day of the Boychild, we hosted a transformative Boys’ Dialogue where young boys were equipped with practical life skills, exposed to meaningful conversations, and reminded that masculinity is not violence, silence, or emotional suppression.

We talked about identity, consent, leadership, emotionalintelligence, mentorship, purpose, and the importance of becoming responsible men in society. We laughed, played games, shared stories, learned skills, and most importantly, we listened to the boys.

When boys are properly guided, girls are safer.
When boys are emotionally intelligent, relationships become healthier.
When boys learn respect, empathy, accountability, and consent early, communities become better for everyone.

Positive boyhood creates positive manhood and that positively influences girls, families, and society at large.

This is what we are committed to at The Boythrive Initiative For Inclusive Growth and Empowerment, raising boys who are emotionally aware, socially responsible, and positively empowered.

A thriving society begins with boys who are guided, supported, and intentionally mentored. 💙

This International Day of the , we celebrate the dreams, strengths, and potential of boys everywhere while also calling attention to a responsibility we must not ignore: boys need positive male role models and mentors.

Too many boys are growing up without safe spaces to learn healthy masculinity, emotional expression, leadership, accountability, and purpose. Beyond providing for boys, men must also become present voices, intentional mentors, listeners, teachers, and examples.

Sometimes, one conversation, one opportunity, or one consistent mentor can change the trajectory of a boy’s life forever.

At The Boythrive Initiative For Inclusive Growth and Empowerment, we believe that investing in boys goes beyond advocacy, it requires communities where fathers, brothers, teachers, leaders, and men intentionally guide the next generation with empathy, wisdom, and integrity.

As we commemorate the International Day of the boychild, let us commit to raise boys who are not only strong, but emotionally aware, compassionate, responsible, and empowered to thrive.

And to every man reading this:
A boy around you is watching your actions, learning from your choices, and growing through your influence. Mentor intentionally. Show up consistently. Lead responsibly.
