Barr. Obafemi Adewale SAN, a former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Ekiti State, has congratulated Hon. Justice S.B.J. Bamise on his recent appointment as a High Court Judge.

Justice Bamise, who previously served as the Permanent Secretary and Solicitor-General of the Ekiti State Ministry of Justice, was among five new judges sworn in by Governor Biodun Oyebanji on February 23, 2026.

Adewale, Life member Body of Benchers described Justice Bamise as a "committed and trustworthy" professional who will add much value to Ekiti State Judiciary.

Speaking at a thanksgiving event in Oye Ekiti, Adewale encouraged younger lawyers to prioritize hard work and professionalism, citing Bamise's elevation as a direct reward for these virtues

On Sunday 15th March, 2026, I hosted the Ijurin Development Union Ado / Ikere Branch monthly meeting at my Ado Ekiti Residence.

It was a delight to interact with my kinsfolk as we deliberated on the progress of our home town, Ijurin Ekiti, the home of hospitality.

My heart goes out to Odeyemi Family of Ijurin Ekiti during this hard time for the loss of our precious and dynamic Daughter Mrs Toyin Odeyemi Abere. I know how much she meant to you, the Ijurin community, the RCCG and the NUT.
