Today, June 13, 2026, I had the privilege of joining other APC leaders from across Ekiti State for a vital stakeholders' meeting hosted at the Iyin-Ekiti residence of the former Governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Niyi Adebayo.

Amongst other issues discussed, were strategies toward victory for the APC and its candidate, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) in the forthcoming June gubernatorial election in Ekiti State.

Attendees at the event unanimously resolved to work tirelessly for victory at the polls.

CCC Leadership Prays for Peace Ahead of 2026 Ekiti Election

Ahead of the upcoming Ekiti State governorship election, the Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Worldwide, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, has made a passionate call for peace, stability, and people-centric governance in the state.

The spiritual leader made the call during the special 2026 Ekiti Peace Crusade, themed "The Heavens Were Open To Him" (Luke 3:21), held at the Fajuyi Mini Pavilion in Ado-Ekiti on Friday 12 June, 2026. The event, which coincided with Nigeria's Democracy Day, drew thousands of Celestial faithful and top church leaders from across the state and country.

Reverend Oshoffa’s goodwill message was delivered on his behalf by the Secretary of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the CCC Worldwide, Sup. Evangelist Obafemi Adewale SAN. The CCC Spiritual Head commended the Ekiti State Chapter for organizing the prayer intervention at a critical political juncture. He emphasized that the church must act as the conscience of the nation by choosing intercession over political incitement. "Your decision to seek the face of God for peace before, during, and after the governorship election in Ekiti State is most timely and deeply commendable," Reverend Oshoffa stated. "I pray that the election shall be peaceful, that the choice of the people shall stand, and the will of God shall prevail." He further charged political leaders to always prioritize the welfare of ordinary citizens.

Aligning with the spiritual father’s message, the BOT Secretary, Sup. Evangelist Obafemi Adewale SAN, openly commended the governance style of the incumbent administration. Pointing to the massive infrastructural developments across Ekiti State, Adewale urged church members to review the positive track records of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) and his Deputy, Chief (Mrs.) Monisade Afuye, and make informed choices by supporting them in the forthcoming polls.

In her remarks, the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Her Excellency, Chief (Mrs.) Monisade Afuye—who is a dedicated member of the Celestial Church of Christ—expressed profound gratitude to the church leadership for their unalloyed support and prayers. Responding to concerns raised by the church regarding national security, Deputy Governor Afuye reassured the congregation of the government’s total commitment to securing the immediate release of citizens held in captivity. She further pledged that the Oyebanji-led administration would sustain its harmonious relationship with the Christian community and continue delivering the dividends of democracy to every corner of the state.

Obafemi Adewale SAN Celebrates Former Ekiti Deputy Governor, Chief Paul Alabi, at 88

Former Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Ekiti State, Obafemi Adewale SAN has extended warm congratulations to the former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Chief Paul Alabi, on the occasion of his 88th birthday.

In a celebratory statement, Adewale described the elder statesman as a "true son of Ekiti," a lover of structural development, and a progressive leader whose extensive wealth of knowledge has contributed immensely to the growth of the state.

"His Excellency's selfless service and unwavering contributions toward the developmental strides of Ekiti State cannot be overemphasized," the statement noted. "As an elder statesman and a deeply committed agriculturalist, his dedication to the progress of our people remains an enduring inspiration."

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria expressed his deep admiration and gratitude for Chief Alabi's decades of public service, offering prayers for his continued well-being.

"I wish His Excellency a very happy 88th birthday. It is my fervent prayer that the Almighty grants him many more years blessed with robust health, peace, and abundant grace."
