In continuation of the Orange the World celebration, the Nigerian Girl Guides Association, Ekiti-state chapter, in collaboration with the Trefoil Guild, held a programme at Harding Model College. Guides from St. Thomas and students of Harding Model College participated.
The lecture focused on this year’s theme: “No to Digital Violence Against Girls and Young Women.”

Dear Sister Guides, as we observe the 2025 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, the Nigerian Girl Guides Association stands united with the global community in the call to End Digital Violence.
Today’s world offers tremendous opportunities through technology, but it also exposes girls and young women to new forms of harm; online harassment, cyberbullying, exploitation and misinformation.

This year’s theme urges us to raise awareness, strengthen digital safety education and empower our girls to navigate online spaces with confidence and resilience. Let us work together, leaders, parents, communities and especially our Guides to create digital environments where every girl is respected, protected and heard.
Together, we can build a safer, more inclusive digital world for all.
