In commemoration of the International Day of Education, the Global Africa Girls Initiatives (GAGI) paid an educational visit to Christ Ambassador Comprehensive College, Osogbo, Osun State, on 5th February 2026.

The session focused on the theme “Education Is the Best Legacy”, where students were enlightened on the true meaning of education and legacy, something valuable passed from one generation to another.

We emphasized that education builds character, develops skills, opens doors to opportunities, and prepares individuals to become responsible citizens who can positively impact society. Students were also reminded that education equips them to solve problems and make informed decisions.

The session was highly interactive, with students asking thoughtful questions and sharing their views. They were encouraged to take their studies seriously, respect their teachers and see education as a lifelong investment capable of uplifting their families and communities.

The visit was impactful and inspiring. The students showed great enthusiasm and understanding, reaffirming that education remains the greatest legacy anyone can give, one that empowers individuals and shapes a better future for society.

Today, October 11, 2025, the Global Africa Girls Initiatives (GAGI) joins the global community to commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child, a day dedicated to recognizing and advancing the rights, potential and leadership of girls everywhere.

This year’s theme, “The girl I am, the change I lead: Girls on the frontlines of crisis” calls attention to the urgent need to listen to, amplify and act on the voices of girls. Across Africa and beyond, girls continue to challenge stereotypes, demand equality and lead transformative change in their communities. Their perspectives are essential in shaping a more inclusive, equitable and sustainable future.

At GAGI, we reaffirm our commitment to creating safe, supportive and empowering spaces where girls can thrive, lead and influence the decisions that affect their lives. Through education, mentorship, advocacy and leadership development, we continue to champion initiatives that strengthen girls’ participation in governance, policy and community development.

On this special day, we call on governments, institutions and all stakeholders to prioritize girls’ education, protect their rights and invest in their potential. Together, we can build a world where every girl’s voice is heard, valued and respected.

Our team had the privilege of visiting Glorious International School, located in the heart of Ado-Ekiti, following their invitation. We provided pupils with school bags, water bottles and writing materials, tailored to their individual needs.

It was a truly rewarding experience and we were honored to put smiles on so many young faces.

A huge thank you to all our sponsors and partners whose generous support made this outreach possible. Your contributions are helping us shape brighter futures, one child at a time. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Together, we’re making education accessible, impactful and inspiring.
