16 Days of Activism

Violence against women and girls isn’t a private matter. It’s a crisis that breaks homes, silences dreams and weakens the society we hope to build. As we observe the 2025 16 Days of Activism, Center for Advocacy, Development and Rights (CADAR) is calling for louder voices, stronger systems and communities that refuse to look away.

GBV isn’t always loud.
Sometimes it hides in silence, shame or fear.
But every survivor deserves safety, justice and a life free from harm.

Let’s teach boys respect.
Let’s teach girls confidence.
Let’s hold abusers accountable.
Let’s build communities where protection is a shared responsibility.

Ending GBV starts with one action, one ally, one conversation at a time.
And together, we can end it for good.

World HIV/AIDS Day

World AIDS Day 2025 reminds us that the fight isn’t over. At the Center for Advocacy, Development and Rights (CADAR), we’re standing with every person living with HIV, every caregiver, every community advocate and every young person choosing knowledge over stigma.

HIV is not a moral failure.
It is not a life sentence.
It is not a reason to discriminate.

What saves lives is access to treatment, regular testing, open conversations and a society that protects rather than shames. Today, we raise our voices for a future where no one is left behind because of fear or misinformation.

Choose compassion.
Choose facts.
Choose support.

Let’s break the stigma and strengthen the fight.

International Day of the Girl Child: Her Voice, Her Power, Her Future

Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and brilliance of girls everywhere those redefining what’s possible and demanding a world that truly listens and acts.

In our work around public health, SRHR, governance, accountability, and transparency, I’ve learned that when girls are empowered to participate in communities, institutions, and decision-making spaces, the impact is transformative. Strong governance begins with inclusion. Accountability thrives when every voice counts, especially the voices of girls often unheard.

Empowering the girl child isn’t an act of kindness; it’s an investment in justice, equity, and sustainable development.
Let’s continue to create spaces where every girl can learn, lead, and live without limits.

To every girl your voice matters, your dreams are valid, and your future is bright. Keep shining. 🌸

Today is the International Day Against Human Trafficking

Human trafficking is a grave violation of human rights. It affects millions of people globally, women, children, and men, who are exploited for forced labor, sexual slavery, and other forms of abuse.

This year, Center For Advocacy Development And Right stand in solidarity with survivors.
We raise our voices for the voiceless.
We demand justice and stronger protection systems.

Let us remember:

Trafficking thrives in silence.

Awareness is the first step to prevention.

Everyone has a role to play , speak up, educate, report suspicious activity, and support survivors.

Together, we can create a world where no one is bought, sold, or exploited.

Join the movement. Share this message. Be part of the solution.

🛑 World Day Against Child Labour 2025.

Today, we mark World Day Against Child Labour 2025 with both hope and urgency.

✅ Yes — progress has been made.
👶🏾 Fewer children are in labour today than in previous decades.
🏫 More children have access to education, protection, and opportunities.

But the fight is far from over.
⚠️ Over 160 million children are still engaged in child labour globally.
⚠️ Many are hidden in domestic work, agriculture, and informal sectors — their futures at risk.

At Center for Advocacy Development and Right (CADAR), we believe that every child deserves a life free from exploitation. This year’s theme "Progress is clear, but there's more to do: let's speed up effort" reminds us that the time for half-measures is over. We must accelerate action now.

🔹 Strengthen child protection systems
🔹 Invest in quality education for all
🔹 Support families and reduce poverty
🔹 Enforce laws that protect our children

We call on our partners, communities, and policymakers:
Let’s build on the progress, but push further — faster.

💬 Every voice matters.
🤝 Every action counts.

Today, we stand in solidarity with millions around the globe to break the silence, smash the stigma, and build a world where menstruation is no longer a barrier.

Periods are natural, yet too many still face shame, limited access to products, poor sanitation, and lack of education. This has to change.

💬 Talk about it
📚 Educate and empower
💼 Support period-friendly policies at work and school
💖 Create safe spaces for open, judgment-free conversations

Together, we can create a world where no one is held back by their period.

On this special day, the Center for Advocacy, Development, and Rights celebrates every child, your laughter, your strength, your dreams, and your right to a safe, loving, and empowering environment.

We believe that every child deserves a world where their voices are heard, their rights are protected, and their potentials are nurtured.

Today, and every day, we reaffirm our commitment to standing with you, advocating for you, and building a brighter, more just future for all children.

Happy Children’s Day! Keep dreaming, keep growing, and never stop shining.
