Be part of us! Conserve Energy Initiative (CEI) is a non-profit organization set up to fight climate change by creating awareness about energy conservation in Nigeria. We are passionate about the need to reduce energy waste among the Nigerian population. The supply of energy (especially electricity) is insufficient yet there is waste of the scarce resources. The tuft of this dire situation is that
energy consumers barely know they waste the scarce resources whereas the consequences of energy waste such as money wastage, climate-change, and environmental degradation elude their understanding. We do not only focus on electricity conservation but also on other forms of energy used in Nigeria. We also educate people about the effects of Climate change, its causes and how to manage it's effects through behavioral change and responsive attitude towards energy consumption. We understand that the concept of energy conservation is vast which could even touch sensitive aspect of our socio-economic facet like population control, environmental conservation, water management and price control. Having acknowledged the dynamic nature of energy conservation, we work with local residents and stay with them as we progress together as partners to a level of obvious positive behavioral change towards energy consumption. We partner with utility companies and international bodies for this course. We also encourage energy efficient technologies and support companies that are keen to improve clean energy development in Nigeria. We promote astute government policies tailored to enhance energy conservation and clean energy. So, part of our work at CEI is to ensure that clean energy companies survive and grow in the country.
