🎖️ THEIR JCI JOURNEY JUST GOT A NEW TITLE.

The closing banquet of GBEDEGU’26 gave us another moment worth celebrating.

▫️ Salamatu Yaradua.
▫️ Chinelo Eze.
▫️ Kyauta Iliyasu.

Three JCI leaders were recognised as JCI Senators, marking a significant milestone in their journey of service and leadership.

From the work they’ve put in to the impact they’ve made, this recognition is a reminder that service leaves a mark.

Congratulations to our newest Senators! 💙🥂

The title is new. The legacy is already in motion.

At Gbedegu ’26, Salamatu Ya’ardua, Our 2022 President and the Director at Acasus and former Deputy Country Director at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (Malawi), took delegates into that conversation through the theme session, “Build Forward, Future Vision and the New North.”

A thought-provoking session on the kind of future we want to build—and the kind of leaders that future will require, she sent inspiring insights about her personal and professional experiences.

One idea stood out: "Trust is earned by showing up. By being competent. And, most importantly, by delivering."

The New North starts with what we do today.
