The countdown to Rio is on! 🇧🇷🌍

This November, KNCV Nigeria will join the global lung health community at The Union World Conference on Lung Health 2026, taking place in Rio de Janeiro from 17–20 November.

Abishai Galadima, Katsina State PPM Cluster Coordinator will join other KNCV Nigeria abstract presenters at the conference.

We’re looking forward to connecting with colleagues from around the world, sharing experiences and contributing to conversations that continue to advance lung health.

After successfully completing TB treatment with support from the U.S. Government through KNCV Nigeria, Mr. Ishaya chose to help others by encouraging early testing, reducing stigma, and supporting community awareness. His advocacy has already helped connect more people with lifesaving TB services.

Every recovered patient has the power to become a catalyst for change.

When Every Step Became a Struggle ❤️

At 60, Mrs. Stella never imagined that walking would one day become a struggle.

Persistent fever, weight loss, severe waist and leg pain, and difficulty breathing left the retired trader weak and searching for answers.

Then, at a KNCV Nigeria-supported health facility, she finally received a diagnosis: extrapulmonary TB.

Six months into treatment, Stella is finding her strength again. The pain has reduced, and she is steadily reclaiming the life she feared she had lost.

Her message? “Don’t guess and don’t wait. Go to the hospital early.”

KNCV Nigeria Makes the Top 10 NISA 2026 Abstracts with Three Abstracts!

KNCV Nigeria proudly made it into the Top 10 NISA 2026 Oral Abstracts with three abstracts, a strong recognition of our commitment to implementation science, innovation, and translating programme experience into evidence for public health impact.

At the NISA 2026 Gala and Awards Night, the trio — Mr. Luka Benjamin Sali, Senior Laboratory Associate; Mr. Saviour Nkanu, State Technical Officer (Bronze Award); and Mr. Suleiman Yusuf, Radiographer Assistant — celebrated this outstanding achievement alongside Prof. Bethrand Odume, Executive Director, KNCV Nigeria; Prof. John Idoko, Chair, KNCV Nigeria Board of Trustees; and Prof. Alash’le Abimiku of IRCE, IHVN.
