Child Empowerment & WaterAid Initiative

Child Empowerment & WaterAid Initiative A Non-profit registered under the Companies&Allied Matters Act is poised at helping children stay in school & provide portable water for rural communities.

Diarrhea, measles, typhoid, malaria, cholera, dysentery among other water related diseases kills more children under five than AIDS, which are commonly spread by WATER and food that has been contaminated with human or animal f***s and other contamination alike. This contamination can occur in an environment as a result of inadequate sanitation and inadequate protection of clean, safe water sources

and food products, or in homes through unsafe water storage and improper hygiene practices. According to World Health Organisation (WHO), diarrhea occurs world-wide and causes 4% of all deaths and 5% of health loss to disability. It is most commonly caused by gastrointestinal infections which kills 2.2 million people globally each year, mostly children in developing countries. The use of safe, clean water and proper hygiene practice is an important preventive measure to these life threatening diseases. Therefore, AWAID's social responsibility and vision is to help improve the livelihoods of a pro-poor marginalized community and save them from the vulnerability of diseases and to strengthen her contribution toward community hygiene/sanitation through support of safe clean water supply to help people and improve healthy living.
