Yesterday, in my capacity as the Leader of the South and the National Deputy Speaker of the National Youth Assembly of Nigeria, I led the Edo State Chapter of the National Youth Assembly of Nigeria on an official visit to the Honourable Commissioner for Youth of the Edo State Government. The purpose of this engagement was to formally present and brief the Commissioner on the forthcoming Leadership Summit Conference scheduled for March 2026.
The meeting focused on collaboration, youth development, and the critical role of government in supporting initiatives that prepare young people for leadership, innovation, and national service. We shared the vision, objectives, and expected outcomes of the summit, designed to bring together young leaders, policymakers, professionals, and development partners from across the country to exchange ideas and build capacity for national growth.
The Honourable Commissioner received the delegation warmly and commended the National Youth Assembly of Nigeria for its consistency and commitment to youth empowerment and inclusive governance. We reaffirmed our readiness to work closely with the Edo State Government in advancing youth-focused programmes and policies.
As part of our nationwide engagement and mobilization efforts, I will be proceeding to Cross River State next month to replicate this presentation and strengthen partnerships with stakeholders ahead of the summit.
The National Youth Assembly of Nigeria remains a project driven institution committed to empowering the next generation through advocacy. We appreciate our sponsors and partners for their continued belief in our mission.
Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Benjamin Udomoh
National Deputy Speaker
