WINE FELLOWSHIP
It was truly a beautiful and memorable evening as Rotarians turned out in great numbers to grace the occasion. We were delighted to host friends and special guests, particularly members of the Rotary Wine Appreciation Fellowship—Rtn. Winny, Rtn. Ada, and Rtn. Winifred from the Rotary Club of Abuja Maitama.
Rtn. Winny styled our Sergeant at Arms and also anchored the auction sale with elegance.
Rtn. Ada gave a detailed introduction to the wines, setting the tone for an enlightening session.
Our speaker for the day, Rtn. Winifred, spoke passionately about each wine—highlighting their uniqueness, ideal pairings, and the proper way to pour wine into a glass.

It was indeed a fantastic evening filled with learning, laughter, and great fellowship.

It was a wonderful and impactful evening, graced by our elegant ebony speaker, Rtn. Akuchi Margarita Fatima, District Rotaract Representative, District 9127. She spoke insightfully on Service, Fellowship, and Growth: The Rotaract Experience, and expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the club for consistently welcoming Rotaractors and treating them with respect and inclusion.
We were also honored to have guests, including Onome the Saint, who added to the warmth and vibrancy of the meeting.
Indeed, it was a truly delightful evening filled with meaningful moments.

The Rotary Club of Abuja Pearl was officially chartered on 2nd May 2026, alongside its Fundraising Ceremony. The event was well attended by our beautiful District Governor " Dame Dr. Princess Joy Nky Okoro. Distinguished Rotarians, friends, and family.
It was a delightful occasion filled with warmth, joy, and unforgettable memories.

Our meeting yesterday was truly superb and impactful. We were privileged to have a seasoned speaker with a wealth of experience who delivered an enlightening session. He spoke extensively on the environment, as well as pressing health concerns such as malaria, typhoid, and most notably, CANCER.
He emphasized the dangers of ignoring early warning signs, the importance of early intervention, and the need for regular medical check-ups especially for women.
He also guided us on the immediate steps to take once any symptoms are detected.
We also took time to celebrate our April celebrants, Rtn Gucci and Rtn Omoh, making the moment even more special.
It was a pleasure hosting our esteemed guests from the Edo, Ekpoma, Delight, and Wuse Rotary Clubs. Their presence added great value to the meeting.
Indeed, it was a refreshing and enlightening evening.

Our meeting was power packed with so many interesting and engaging moments. We had wonderful guests, sang beautiful songs, and I personally learned a new song alongside others. The song, chosen by Rotr Snipper, is titled FAKA FIKI FAKA FI (page 13 of our songbook).

The President spoke on the environment and how we can practice better environmental habits, encouraging everyone to share their thoughts.
Rotr Snipper emphasized the importance of educating people on proper waste disposal to prevent illness, noting that sensitization is key.
Rtn Funmi added that we should avoid disposing of items like paper, sweet wrappers, and plastic bottles etc indiscriminately.
Rtn Tina also shared her experience in Lagos and the lessons learned.
Taking responsibility and protecting our environment is essential.

Presido’s Feedback / Geng Geng:
There will be a District-level competition, and all Rotarians are encouraged to show interest. It promises to be fulfilled, with both indoor and outdoor games such as Ayo, Snake and Ladder, Ludo, Whot, Chess, and more.

Rtn. Onome’s event is coming up soon, and members were encouraged to participate. Rtn. Obas also gave supporting feedback on this.

We were honored by the presence of representatives from the club, CP Rtn Victoria Imomoh and Leu. Gov. O. C. Imomoh, who came to appreciate our unwavering support and to invite us to their Charter/Investiture Ceremony coming up on 2nd May 2026 (venue to be communicated soon).
