Making a Lasting Impact in Maternal and Child Health
Today, Saturday, July 18, 2026, members of the Rotary Club of Abuja Kubwa, led by our President, Rotarian Nosa Ayemien, came together in the true spirit of Service Above Self to execute two impactful Maternal and Child Health projects within the Kubwa community.
The outreach commenced at Kubwa General Hospital, where the club donated hospital mattresses to the Male and Female Accident & Emergency Wards, helping to improve patient comfort and enhance healthcare delivery.
The team then proceeded to Kungabokun Health Center, where mosquito nets and birthing kits were distributed to pregnant women and nursing mothers, supporting safer pregnancies, healthier births, and improved maternal and child well-being.
The beneficiaries and healthcare professionals at both facilities expressed immense joy and heartfelt appreciation for the timely interventions. Their gratitude serves as a reminder of the profound impact that collective service can have on our communities.
As a club, we remain committed to identifying critical community needs and implementing sustainable projects that create meaningful and lasting change. This is just one of many impactful initiatives to come.
Together, we continue to create hope, improve lives, and create a lasting impact.
