70 voices. One room. One shared mission.

In Kaduna State, we convened 70 education stakeholders for a powerful dialogue on the reintegration of adolescent mothers and married girls back into school.

What filled the room?
Raw emotion. Honest truths. Urgency.
From moments of anger… to deep passion… and ultimately, a renewed sense of hope.

Because one thing became undeniably clear:
We cannot keep shrinking girls’ dreams to basic literacy and numeracy.

Girls dream boldly.
They dream of futures filled with purpose, leadership, and impact.
And it is our collective responsibility to build a system that doesn’t limit them, but delivers for them.

This is more than a conversation.
It’s a call to action

We still haven’t gotten over this moment šŸ˜„.

A few weeks ago, our Staff and Board of Trustees participated in an intensive safeguarding training designed to strengthen how we protect, respect, and uphold the dignity of the communities we serve.

This was more than a training. It was a moment of reflection, learning, and transformation. We asked hard questions, challenged our systems, and most importantly, redesigned our safeguarding policies to ensure they are embedded in every aspect of our work; from programs to partnerships to everyday interactions.

Why does this matter?

Because trust is everything.

For the girls, communities, partners, and stakeholders we work with, safeguarding means:
āœ”ļø Safe spaces to learn and grow
āœ”ļø Systems that prevent harm and respond effectively
āœ”ļø Accountability at every level of our organization

We are proud to be building an institution where safeguarding is not optional but foundational.

Special thanks to our facilitator Olabisi Afolabi for sharing her expertise with us. Now more than ever, safety first!
