A job should not come with harassment. End sexual harassment in the workplace.

No person should choose between their safety and their job.

Sexual harassment is a violation of dignity and human rights.

A safe workplace is a basic right, not a privilege.

Silence protects abusers. Reporting protects victims.

Sexual harassment in the workplace is one of the most common yet underreported forms of violence against women and girls. It includes unwanted touching, inappropriate comments, sexual advances, intimidation, and exploitation by colleagues, supervisors, or clients.

Many women remain silent due to fear of losing their jobs, damaging their reputation, or facing retaliation. This silence allows abuse to continue and creates a toxic, unsafe environment where women cannot grow or perform at their best.

Employers must implement strong anti-harassment policies, create safe reporting channels, and take swift action against perpetrators. Bystanders also have a responsibility to speak up and support victims.

Your body is not a work benefit. Harassment is not part of the job.

A child is not a bride. End child marriage and protect the futures of girls.

Child marriage is a form of violence. Let girls grow, learn, and choose their own future.

Marriage should be a choice, not a sentence for a child. Say NO to child marriage.

Every girl deserves education, not early marriage.

Child marriage steals childhood, dreams, and opportunities. End it now.

Child marriage is a harmful practice and a form of violence against girls. It occurs when a girl is forced or pressured into marriage before the age of 18 often to older men. This denies her the opportunity to complete her education, achieve her dreams, and fully develop her potential.

Girls in child marriages are more likely to experience domestic violence, early pregnancy complications, emotional trauma, and social isolation. In many cases, they are trapped in cycles of poverty, abuse, and dependence.

Ending child marriage requires strong laws, educated communities, economic opportunities for families, and the empowerment of girls to make decisions about their own lives.

SUSEW Human Development Foundation, we stand firm against child marriage and advocate for safe, educated, and empowered girls.

A girl’s future is bigger than early marriage. Let her choose her own path.

Violence against women and girls doesn’t only happen on the streets or in homes — it also happens in schools and educational institutions. Many girls face sexual harassment, exploitation, bullying, and abuse from peers, teachers, and even security staff.

This violence affects their learning, confidence, mental health, and long-term opportunities. Some girls drop out completely due to fear, trauma, or pregnancy resulting from abuse. When schools become unsafe, education becomes a risk instead of a right.

There is an urgent need for strict school policies, safe reporting mechanisms, trained teachers, and zero tolerance for abuse in all learning spaces. Every child deserves a safe, supportive environment to grow and succeed.

At SUSEW Human Development Foundation, we advocate for safer educational environments where girls can learn without fear, discrimination, or violence.

Education should empower, not traumatize. Protect girls in schools.

Femicide is the gender-based killing of women and girls simply because they are female. It is the most extreme form of violence against women and often happens in cases of domestic abuse, harmful cultural practices, or intimate partner violence that escalates due to lack of intervention.

Across many communities, warning signs are ignored, cases are poorly handled, and perpetrators are allowed to walk free. This culture of silence and impunity fuels more violence. Femicide is not just a crime it is a reflection of deep gender inequality, societal neglect, and weak justice systems.

We must challenge the norms that excuse violence, strengthen laws that protect women, support survivors, and hold offenders accountable. Communities, families, institutions, and governments all have a role to play in preventing femicide.

Every woman deserves to live, dream, and thrive without fear.

Let’s raise our voices today and say: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. STOP FEMICIDE.

Violence against women and girls is not limited to physical harm.
Online harassment, cyberstalking, revenge p**n, and digital blackmail are also forms of abuse that leave deep emotional and psychological scars.

At SUSEW Human Development Foundation, we are raising awareness on digital violence and encouraging everyone to speak up, support survivors, and hold perpetrators accountable.

Let us create a digital world where women and girls feel safe to exist, express themselves, and live without fear.

End digital violence. Start with respect.

Offline or online, violence is still violence.
From threats in DMs to harassment in comment sections and blackmail in private spaces, digital violence against women and girls is real, damaging, and must be taken seriously.

We are committed to creating safe digital spaces where women and girls can speak freely without fear, shame, or intimidation. Everyone deserves safety not just offline, but also online.

Let us use our voices and platforms to promote respect, safety, and accountability in digital spaces.

A safer internet is everyone’s irresponsibility

As the West Africa Peace and Security Dialogue (WAPSeD 2025) concluded on Day 3, key conversations emphasized actionable steps for stronger partnerships, community-led peace, and sustainable security systems across the region.

Mrs. Doris Chikaodili Okereke represented SUSEW Human Development Foundation among key peacebuilding actors, policymakers, and networks across West Africa.

Her engagement has strengthened our organization’s capacity to align local interventions with regional and global peacebuilding strategies, and further positions SUSEW as an active voice in peace, security, and women's leadership discourse.

We remain committed to promoting women-led, locally driven peace and security efforts in Nigeria.
