Today we celebrate every child in the world. At AKAWI we believe that the dignity of women and children are rights and not privileges. Nothing gives a child the right start in life like the gift of a proper education. Invest in one indigent child around you and you'll make the world a much better place.

BEFORE AND AFTER
We're celebrating today in AKAWI. Who remembers Rukaiya Yakubu? She was the little girl we picked when she was just 16 and orphaned. Her mum, her last support died and she started selling boiled corn by the roadside to put herself and her siblings through school. We started paying her school fees until she finished secondary school.
Today, we’re so pleased to announce that Rukaiya is almost done with School of Nursing. (Frame 4)
