Rainy season comes with its own challenges on the road slippery surfaces, poor visibility, flooded areas, brake failure risks, and reckless driving from some road users. Whether you’re a driver, passenger, bike rider, or pedestrian, safety should never be taken lightly.
☔🚗 Rainy Season Road Safety Tips Everyone Should Observe
1️⃣ Drive Slowly and Carefully
Wet roads reduce tire grip and increase braking distance. Avoid speeding, especially during heavy rainfall.

2️⃣ Maintain Safe Distance
Keep enough distance between your vehicle and the one ahead to prevent collisions during sudden braking.

3️⃣ Check Your Vehicle Regularly
Ensure your brakes, tires, headlights, wipers, and indicators are functioning properly before heading out.

4️⃣ Avoid Flooded Roads
Do not attempt to drive through deep water. It may damage your vehicle or put lives at risk.

5️⃣ Use Headlights Appropriately
During rainfall or cloudy weather, switch on your headlights for better visibility not high beams.

6️⃣ Stay Focused While Driving

Following a distress call on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the Lifeline team was immediately dispatched to the scene to save lives. Despite near fatalities, no life was lost and the victims are now receiving continued care in the Casualty Unit of the National Hospital, Abuja.

🚨 Emergency Rescue

On Tuesday 14th April 2026, we responded to an emergency involving a gentleman, who collapsed at Old CBN Traffic Lights.

Following a distress call from a passerby, he was promptly attended to and evacuated to Asokoro General Hospital for immediate medical care.

🚑 The ambulance team also mobilized to provide additional support and ensure continuity of care.

We appreciate all our donors who make our rescues possible ❤️
