Set to promote the quality of education for a brighter future of the young generation by converting illiteracy and poverty among girls and women as this will enable women to be self-reliance to reduce the likelihood of them engaging in prostitution also developing women’s capacity to engage in sustainable income generating activities (skill acquisition) this will in turn improve family living standards and their well-being in general. To eradicate child labour in the country as its deprived children from actively going to school. 'CHILD LABOUR' is one of the biggest challenges that the whole world is facing. This practice is going on for long and is one of the worst forms of child exploitation. According to statistics provided by UNICEF, there are an estimated 250 million children aged 5 to 14 years employed in child labour worldwide and this figure is continuously increasing. (Pawangkolkata, 2013)
Effects of Child Labour:
Child Labour severely upsets the physical as well as the mental state of the children. Children lose their confidence and get used to the dissimilar methods of abuse by the society. Their hopes of living a better life and fulfilling their basic needs like food, shelter, clothing and education are more shattered or misled. More miserably some end up into criminal activities due to the fact that their very consciousness has been altered and as such seek revenge for what the society has done to them. Therefore, we can’t blame them or fold our hands, we can’t look without doing anything, we can’t blame such young minds because collectively in one way or another, perhaps we may be responsible for their pity state. Aim at improving community health by providing tips, advice and medical services to rural people which lack sufficient medical facilities. These initiatives also aims at helping the less privilege people especially in the rural areas as this will enhance the healthy life style of the people by providing clean water, minimizing or eradicating malaria and other vulnerable diseases. Economic Development
To promote economic development by actively engaging youths and promoting self-reliance through entrepreneurship and small businesses establishments. Youth unemployment is at an all-time high. Therefore by increasing opportunity through youth entrepreneurship is one way to reduce this challenge. ADEF “Be Your Own Boss” advisees conduct seminars and work shop for the youths so as to enable young people to create and manage sustainable enterprises. ADEF have competent and reliable people, technical knowledge and business skills to guide, enlighten, and sponsor youths for the betterment and sustainable economic development that is link with other core-issues of the foundation. Political Thuggery
To eradicate political thuggery through sensitizations, seminars, workshops and partnerships with concerning bodies. Political thuggery is simply the criminalization of politics as it’s the violent means of seeking political power with a view to subverting national opinion for parochial ends through self-imposition. Basically the majority of youths used in this nation are jobless, with no means of live hood, they impoverished, and as such mercenary politics becomes the way out.
