*TOPIC: WHOM WE MUST WORSHIP*

True worship has an address. If worship goes to the wrong place, it becomes idolatry. The Bible is clear about whom we must worship.

*a) WORSHIP THE ONE TRUE GOD - Creator of Heaven and Earth*

There is only one living and true God. He alone deserves our worship, not gods of wood, money, self, or men.

> *Deuteronomy 6:4* - _"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one."_

> *Psalm 95:6-7* - _"Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture."_

> *Acts 17:24* - _"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands."_

He is not a local god. He is the Creator, the Owner of Heaven and Earth. He alone must be worshipped.

*b) WORSHIP GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST*

God has made a way for sinful man to reach a Holy God. That way is Jesus Christ.

> *John 14:6* - _"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"_

> *1 Timothy 2:5* - _"For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus."_

> *John 4:23-24* - _"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks."_

Jesus is not a way - He is THE Way. We cannot bypass Him and reach God.

*TO SUMMARISE IT:*

We do not worship Jesus as a different God.

We worship the *Father THROUGH the Son, by the power of the Holy Spirit.*

> *Ephesians 2:18* - _"For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit."_

One God. One Mediator. One Spirit. This is true worship.

*WHO WE MUST NOT WORSHIP:* Idols, angels, ancestors, Mary, prophets, pastors, self, money, or creation.
> *Exodus 20:3* - _"You shall have no other gods before me."_

*CALL TO SALVATION:* Today, turn from every false worship and return to the True God through Jesus Christ.
