"This Wasn’t Supposed to Happen…"

She stared at the two pink lines, her hands trembling.

No. This can’t be happening.

She was 39. Her last child was 10. She had packed up all the baby clothes, donated the crib, and closed that chapter of her life. She had done her part three beautiful children, years of sleepless nights, breastfeeding, school runs, and sacrifices. She was finally getting her life back.

She had plans plans for herself. Maybe finally start that business, travel, or just rest.

But now this?

A baby… at her age?

She felt shame. What will people say?

She felt guilty for even thinking about it, but the truth sat heavy on her chest. I don’t want to do this again.

Her heart was torn. One part whispered, You don’t have to do this. You have a choice. The other whispered back, But what if this baby is meant to be?

She lay awake that night, staring at the ceiling, tears rolling down her face. She didn’t know what to do.
